Nothing to add here, you are right in every way. I mean how hard or difficult can it be for billion dollar companies selling super expensive and exclusive luxury goods to employ some capable and knowledgeable people who inspect every car of this quality leaving the factory and taking care of all those imperfections? We are talking about high performance machines/cars with crazy technical details built out of some exotic materials and then you cut short on the one thing that stand out just as much when you look at the car in person. I just don´t understand why the manufacturer has no interest/motivation in letting the cars leave the assembly lines in absolutely perfect condition, test drives are being made before delivery to sort out all the things that might not be right, rattles, squeaks, errors etc. but they don´t care when comes to the exterior finish...

@A.D.Ryan934 сағат бұрын
@@Nick210I get your point and it is indeed a viable argument, but then as other people here already mentioned, you are paying 700k+ for an exclusive toy and the manufacturer is just not interested in a good looking paint finish? That just does not seem to go together in my eyes. And then to add to this point, there are people in the factories already taking care of the paint and correcting to some extent, how much more expensive can it be for Lamborghini to go the extra mile and sort out the other imperfections? But then of course I am also not able to estimate how much more time and money it would cost them additionally if the extra steps would be taken during the manufacturing process

Great video Larry! I worked as a polisher at both McLaren and Morgan in the factories, I completely agree with what you’re saying with the paint dropping and showing all the flatting marks and buffing trails. But the reason for that is that the freshly painted panels will get polished within an hour of the parts coming out of the booth to remove runs, nibs and other defects. The cars are usually assembled and road tested then anything spotted at the end of the line is usually sanded by hand and polished out with a small cordless rotary polisher with hardly and polish on it and some show shine on the lighter colours, then washed or show shined by the dealers after another PDI, only a few areas to improve but not far off

Yes we are all human and make mistakes, but that is mistakes from multiple different people. I would expect very good paint from any new vehicle anyone buys. I think most rich/very rich people are too scared to step on Ferrari’s or Lamborghini’s toes just in case they wont be able to purchase the new unobtainable model that is coming out. Thanks Larry for not being scared to show us what you fix on a daily basis.
