Agreed. Per the documentation for it. It can handle over 1000lb ft of torque.

HI! I talked to a guy not long ago here in Sweden at a Saab/Volvo meet. He had a stock looking 9-3 SC 2.0T Xwd with 575hp, he asked Haldex if it gona hold and they didn´t know, they said: "Nobody have done this before" I guess in Sweden?!. Both the stock 6 speed manual gearbox and the Xwd is ok so far (the clutch is upgraded of course) ;) I think he´s got around 650nm of torque and your v6 must have around 800nm? Nordic Performance in Norrkoping have done the mods/job. Nice video by the way :)

Amazing video! I'm excited to see what you put out in the future. While my car is mostly stock right now, I'm sure this video and the ones you might produce after this will be a massive help when I'm ready to more seriously modify my own car. Thanks for all your r&d on this platform!

Amazing work! I am VERY interested in getting a MaxxECU after doing a little research. Look forward to as much info as you can provide and probably a plug and play harness if that becomes available. Looking to make around 500awhp in my TX.

What a monster of a car well done for such a great build? You never mentioned what clutch you car has to put that power down Pedro? Can't you tell us about the clutch and flywheel used?

Great build, i see you have 314mm brakes, you can upgrade easily enough to the 345mm brakes. Im no Saab expert but i assume the 345's were only installed on the Turbo X. I had a car with 314's and my current with 345's not sure if felt much of a difference from memory but they certainly look alot better behind the wheel.

A full straight cut dog gearset for the f40 would be a game changer. What about a haldex controller aswell? Anyone looked into that?

That will be the next step. The PAR engineering has already said they could do this. I'm just seeing what else will break first. Also about the haldex I have been working with a company out of Sweden for the last year on developing a haldex controller for these as well. So hopefully we can start testing it soon. It should be functional with stock ecu as well.

Inspiring build! I have the same car in an '08 sportcombi. Curious about your shifter/inkage on the 6 spd, I've seen some short shift linkage kits (4H Tech) and some short throw shifters out there. Thanks!

That's a really interesting conent. Did You ever try to tune 9-5 NG? Engine is almost 1:1 the same, but I haven't even seen one NG tuned up to more than 350KM. Any clue where's the problem?

Hi Gabriel, Here in the UK we have this engine in the Saab's and Vauxhall Vectra and Insignia. I'm always getting told that the stock engine will bend Conrods at low engine speeds and high boost, is this true? And if so what sort of boost level and engine speeds does that happen? I want to run more boost lower in the rev range but don't want to destroy my engine. I appreciate any advice you have.

Yes I have tuned many of those as well. But that is a very loaded question. Simple answer is yes these will send Rod through the block with too much boost. This is true for any engine. But what makes this more common in these engines is not the engine itself. It's the small 4cyl sized turbo gm put on a v6. So the turbo spools ridiculously fast and generates alot of boost at low rpms which correlates to broke rods. At higher rpms with a stock frame turbo(no matter the size) this usually is not a problem due to the engine cycling more air and spending less time at peak cylinder pressures. So I normally tell my customers not to load up there engines below 2500 rpms. Like 6th gear interstate loads etc. Just down shift if needed. As far as max boost pressure. I've seen them break at 15 psi up to 25psi in the lower rpms. There is many factors to this. So if what you are looking for is a 2500rpm torque monster then put rods in the engine. Or buy a diesel

@@pedrosperformance5152 My Vectra has had a remap and power comes on strong from about 3500rpm but it's only slightly stronger than stock below that rpm range. From 2000 to 3500rpm it's boosting at about 6psi, after 3500rpm it goes upto 10psi and then after 4000rpm its hitting 14-15psi. But after 5500rpm boost drops off, I've looked at the map and see this is the same for the stock map. Is this done to save the turbo? I.e. not get the turbo to spin at massively high RPMS and grenade it?

when people think european engines they think they're flimsy af, but saab engines are bulletproof. Ive only got an '02 2Lt, but with a tune and 2 bolt ons i can double the hp, these things were so overengineered its crazy

wait wait, aluminium? how come ? Melting's temperature is 660'celcius while exhaust EGT is around 950 on a Saab....
