I'm glad to see you got the Cambridge Lectern Bible. I was waiting on this review. It is a good looking Bible. I have been wanting a big, high quality Bible just for family use. I think this is it, although perhaps I will go with the black goatskin version. Yes, it's a lot of money, but hopefully it will last for a hundred years.

I grew up in a old church of God church that both a pulpit and a lectern for reading scripture. That Cambridge looks very similar to one that was used for many years. I’m gonna try and talk our deacons into getting one for our church

Who would spend that much for a Bible? Jesus words are Jesus word's. God's words are a gift. This is shameful.

@@CalebBass those who are profiting off of bibles are what the word of God says peddling the word of God for profit. People who seek to turn people into merchandisb scripture have how to pay. The anointing of God is what gives a man the ability to preach not a ridiculously expensive Bible.

@@livefree316 people spend a ridiculous amount of money on smartphones, laptops, and etc. If they can spend a lot on a phone unnecessarily why can they not spend their hard earned money on a quality bible? At least they will be edified and will last for generations should the Lord delay His coming.

To viewers who complain about the cost? I get it, most people don’t spend this kind of money on a bible, or a book for that matter, however, most people spend more money on things that don’t last, TV, cell phones, laptops, tablets, clothes, go into debt for cars they can’t afford, over buy on a house, rack up credit card debt and “junk”. true you can read the Bible for free online, but there is something to be said about quality and something that will last for 10, 20, 30+ years. If this bible last you 20 yrs, your spending the equivalent of $20 a year, for a bible like this. To each there own, but most people like me, who are serious about passing something down to my kids, and their kids, it’s worth every penny to keep the word of God AND a family heirloom, in the family.
