Scott, hear me out on this one: Lahti L-39, Antitank rifle firing 20mm Long Solothurn. Four times the muzzle energy of a 700 Nitro. Definitely a Very Big Boomstick.

to me, it sounded like it either hit the crank, connecting rod, or shattered a piston sleeve/piston. one cylinder was taken out which ultimately seized the motor. But i'd also love to see that disection!
