I have the original CC Newport from a few years ago when they did the first release. Never getting rid of it, love the feel. Has it improved my game for the amount of money that was spent, maybe not hasn't made my game worse, no. But I love the way it looks and the way it feels, even if it comes out of the bag I'll never get rid of it

Amazing review David! The Champions Choice putter is a thing of beauty. After missing out on it (sold out within a min online), I was able to grab it in the secondary market. It was more than I wanted to pay for it but I think I've finally found "THE" putter that will be in my bag for the rest of my golf playing days and potentially pass it down to my kid or grandkid someday.

4:35 Hi David… long time reader, first time commenter. One minor correction here. Your comparison here is with a NP 1.5+ in Champions Choice and a NP 2+ with the Super Select for design. I own both models in NP 2+ and there is no difference in face design. I will say that the CC is about the width of a quarter wider, likely due to the insert. You can’t lose with either of these putters. They are beautiful tools, that if properly taken care of, are totally worth the investment. Keep up the great work!

Thanks David for a great review on this putter. I have played with my Studio Style LH 2008 Cameron Putter now for15 years and so familiar with it I won't change. I did however purchase for collecting, a super select 2.5 plus LH and sent it to the custom shop for custom paint, shaft band and grip/head cover. Their work was 363.00 out the door and 3 weeks turn time but 10 out of 10 workmanship. When I saw the email for this new Champions Choice release earlier in week I phoned my local shop that day and they put me first on the list for a LH one of these. Not sure what their allotment was but was told stores get them depending on sales volume. Got the call that I got one and which length do I want 34 or 35 so they must get an allotment order and nice I could pick my length as well. I tried to get one of the Jet Set Select Limited ones in LH when they were announced years back but the other larger shop I tried to work with seems to had been "dealing em from the bottom of the deck" Left Handed are more scarce in these limited releases I have found. Appreciate the detailed review !

My son is left-handed, so I understand that finding some left-handed equipment is frustrating. Sometimes brands lose money making left-handed equipment, like with blade-style irons, because there simply are not many golfers who buy them, but the brand has to make another mold or forge the metal in a different way. Typically, limited-edition putters are made RH only, so I'm happy to see that you have been able to get SOME of the releases. - DD

Great review David. I was lucky enough to have acquired a new T-10 Buttonback (Keopka Style) thirteen years ago. It is my gamer. It absolutely inspires confidence as I love the sound, set up and feel. I have ventured from it a few times as I am always in search of anything that may exceed it's performance, but I always come back to it soon after. It just suits me personally. I have always played best with Cameron Newport 2's. My first was the original 97 model used by Tiger to win the Masters. Along with a few other NP2's, I have the 22 anniversary model and my NP2+ Champions Choice is on the way.

Update: So I FINALLY broke out the Champions Choice NP2+ to compare against my T10 Buttoback... Is there a difference? I would say ABSOLUTELY there is a difference. Feel is very familiar and what I've come to expect from a SC Teryllium faced putter. The Plus model, though, seems to be more forgiving as advertised and without question, aiming is greatly improved with the slightly elongated flange; especially on shorter putts. It is significantly easier. I couldn't be any happier. It will be in my bag for the foreseeable future. A very good putter for sure. (For perspective, I play to a low single digit handicap and consider putting to be the best part of my game. ) Thank you for all the reviews. Keep up the great work.

Update 2: Just to follow up again regarding feel. In retrospect, the T-10 does feel and sound "softer" than the Champions Choice. Significantly. To my knowledge, The Circle T T-10 and Champions Choice are using the same materials, less the aluminum sole plate on the CC.

I agree with what you’re saying for me I just don’t putt my best with a blade style putter so even though I wanted one I decided to pass. If you truly putt your best with one of these style putters and you want something special than it’s an easy decision.

David, I'm up in Canada and snagged the NP 2+, 60 seconds after they went live online at Golftown (who I think had the exclusive allotment in Canada) and in 12 minutes they were all sold out. Unreal. I dropped over $1000 of our worthless Canadian dollars on this beauty, but this is my 1st and probably last Scotty. I'm around 40 years old and will just roll this until I drop dead, lol, making it a sound investment for my bag. Is it worth it? I don't care, it's two weeks worth of family groceries up here. This is why I drive a 13 year old car, so I can get a nice piece of golf bling once in awhile. I will believe in this putter, just saying Terrylium sounds so cool. Do you know if a good local club builder can bend the lie angle 1 degree flat on this putters? Thanks for the in depth review.
@DavidDusek Жыл бұрын

Just gamed it for the 1st time yesterday and I dropped a birdie putt and another couple 1-putts to save par... And I'm not a great putter. No regrets, staying in the bag. Putter feels amazing, swing weight is perfect! A masterpiece.

David been waiting for this video thanks so much. I have one on order and I am waiting to see if I can get it, Newport 2.5 plus, RH. Please send me good vibes so I can get one. If not, do you have any ideas on how to buy one? Ebay prices are already doubled the $700 price, that's why I am looking outside the box. Since I was the first one here, any chance I can win one???? LOL, be well and may you hit nothing but fairways and greens.

You get an 'A' for effort, but I'm afraid I can not give away the putter Scotty sent. I hope you are able to land one. Absolutely beautiful piece of workmanship that will be cherished for a long time to the buyer. Just not for me. Not a fan of any insert faced putter. I prefer a milled face. I've had Scotties in the past and they are very good putters. Presently using a Ping PLD Milled Anser D and love it.
