Fyi I think the UFO's we're military helicopters that spotted my scope and decided to check it out as I was pointing directly into the flight path of planes landing at Stanstead airport.
Also I managed to get some Ha data from my roof in london which I didn't mention in the video. Actually there is a lot of tech stuff that I didn't mention in the video but you can find more info here www.astrobiscuit.com/luckyima...

Astrobiscuit is the Christiaan Huygens of our age. By combining his own technical skills and the craftsmanship of experts on guiding, mirrors and taking exposures he is taking amateur astronomy to the next level. But wait, is he now taking the LOFAR-method to visual astronomy, using a community of amateur astronomers? Kitt Peak National Observatory, the game is on!

@@Astrobiscuit LOFAR is the Low Frequency Array; a radio telescope that uses 20.000 small antennas distributed over the Netherlands (where I am from)the UK (where a famous rabbit lives), Sweden, France and Germany. Like what you are setting up now with a community. Not only will you have petaflops of images with a community focussing on the same astral object, but maybe you can also attract some imaging experts that can really push the limits of resolution as well. However, you will probably need AWS as a sponsor for cloud computing soon ;-)

It's only creepy because we are genetically programmed to be scared in the dark. You should have talked to the red bunny, who says: You could do even better! Add a tube exhaust fan below the main mirror, which increases your luck in lucky imaging, because it reduces tube and mirror seeing that never stops entirely, especially not if the night cools down, by sucking out warm air. And slightly stop down the main mirror edge with a ring (e.g. 3d printed) to hide the diffraction of the mirror clamps and the often not entirely perfect mirror edge. A few mm suffice, just check the halo of a bright star to see the difference.

Production , editing , theme , continuity and presentation 100% . I can not afford to enter your community , so my hobbies are RC and making my own booze . Maybe place telescope in an ideal place and control it in the comfort of your home? With a drink!

That was brilliant! Good comparison at the end, the dark clouds in your capture looked even more detailed than Kitt Peaks! Wonder what bunny thinks? Great work as always 👍

Azza Johno: No it not looks more detailed, they look better while he has less light coming in, the prof picture is in my opinion over exposed , still the details and resolution are far better , and he stop the comparison in the right moment so you can't see his failure. Of course for the equipment he use it is an amazing Photo. And on his Photo the whole Galaxy is getting blurry and washed out so don't fool yourself.

@@powertothebauer296 focusing on the core of the image, the dark clouds in Astrobiscuit's image showed more detail than the other images and that was the focal point for the comparison. I do agree that overall Kitt Peaks image is an incredible spectacle and truly amazing but as an Astrobiscuit fan, do agree with Rory that his lucky imaging technique resulted in an astonishingly good outcome. Was an all round excellent video, both entertaining and exciting!

Found this Nerd channel. By accident! I don’t have a telescope but I do look at the stars! I’m an film and tv editor for over 25 yrs and just finished a Netflix documentary series,! Your production values, photography, graphics, editing sound design, voice over and composed music was all absolutely superb! I was hooked and I have liked and subscribed! Thank you for opening my eyes to night sky!

I love your content! Thank you so much! I'm so fascinated with astronomy but now I'm obsessed with telescopes and their challenges thanks to you! I'm so fortunate to have lived in one of the darkest places in the usa in the new Mexico desert near the vla (very large array.) I've moved away but will be visiting there still since my family lives there. I can't wait to take a scope out and view the sky. So much to learn yet but I'm excited about this. Dealing with cancer over the past couple years has been tough and this gives me new dreams and challenges to keep my mind going. You have no idea how much it helps. Thank you! Looking forward to more videos! Sorry I'm not able to contribute but with views and liking your vids but if I could your channel would be worth every penny spent for the enjoyment I've gotten from these. I just keep rewatching all of them and trying to learn more. Hoping to be able to buy a decent cheap scope soon!
