@@Maicowerk Hello Mister,hope,you are doing well. I am from Germany,and i like your Channel,but there's one Thing,i have to say. It is pronounced like Mike-O. One more thing- in the 80th, i rode a MD 250, aircooled. Nice, fast machine. If you have any Connection, i would LOVE If you could show (and maybe ride)one. Greetings from Ostfriesland, Germany O

> i been watching this channel from day one. in the early 90's i pieced together and raced a '74.5 mc 400 - as rec'vd w/ moved forward rear shocks (blown), internal spring fork, points ignition & a std. bing vergasser. very tractable performer but the extreme high maintenance of operating it took a lot of the fun out of racing it. i understand your specific ride application might be something a bit more unusual but after viewing the 'hurdles' you must overcome to complete this build, can very clearly imagine how the term 'maico breako' rang true more often that not.

Make a adapter for the front of the exhaust then weld it together. Then u wil have to see about the rear it would work with adapter ex in the front.

It's also the side, it doesn't even clear the oil bolt or the cylinder or the radiator.

Which one's the power house between them all? Have you ever had them on a dyno?
@Maicowerk2 жыл бұрын
It's going to be between the 700s. Haven't dynoed them and haven't taken the Zabel for a ride yet. They all have plenty of power tho that it really doesn't matter too much.

@@Maicowerk Was just curious between the two. Like if they had different characteristics & how so. Very cool stuff man. Thanks for posting.👍

What frame are you trying to shoehorn that Zabel into? It clearly doesnt have quite enough space without a *LOT* of modification.
@Maicowerk2 жыл бұрын
It is a Maico 500 frame, same one the Maico 700 uses and the Maico 660/620. The big modification was just the shock. The motor mounts, while smaller, lined up exactly because Zabel started with a Maico engine originally.

"Lazer 999" Has been building a 700 themselves check it out if you haven't already. The work you have done is impressive thanks for keeping us updated,

Thanks! Ya I saw they were building one. They emailed me a long time back to ask about the Maico 700.

Those pipes are so...rude, you should live in EU, I could have the soluction. Better performance (if you need more power ={ ) , build for the bike and not so heavy , ...off course ,more pretty. Nice engines you have there. Be carefull with Greta ...she`s watching us. : )

Why not make a few dents to clear a few of the problem spots.
@Maicowerk3 жыл бұрын
Too many large dents would be required. It doesn't even clear the oil bolt or the cylinder and the radiator so it would be pretty beat up.
