This right here is a picture perfect sample of a home brew time attack build that’s also savagely fast. Sure, pro race shops may have the fit/finish and eye candy. But when your sole focus is smashing class records and just going as fast as possible, you’re not really worried about winning any beauty contests. And if you ask us, there’s nothing like a pirate spec GC8 that embarrasses much fancier builds.

Yeah, I was thinking exactly the same thing...then was surprised by a couple comments that led me to wonder if this had been shot shortly before Eddie died! I had another strange coincidence with that from a friend I talked to only a day or two after Eddie had passed; he had found an old Van Halen album that he hadn’t listened to in probably more than a decade. He was pretty tripped out when he found out EVH had died the next morning after; he was going, “I killed Eddie!”

I always thought it would be a good idea when you're running a rear mount radiator to plumb the coolant to the back with aluminum pipe under the car and put fins on the pipe just like a hot water baseboard heater has so the coolant lines are acting as a heat exchanger themselves.

@@flat_life750 Global Time Attack wasn't established until 2010. Also, quite certain Gobstopper has never races stateside. Actually I don't think it has raced outside of the UK. Yes, GST's first TA event was SLB in 2007. Gobstopper was also being built in 2006 (easy to verify with such a public build) and had shakedown the same year. I'm having a hard time finding it's first TA competition. I know it did TOTB in 2007. So I do concede TOTB race occurred before SLB in 2007, so as far as I can find in 13 years shit, Gobstopper was publicly raced before GST.
