700Hp Subaru Legacy RS Mk1 || Time Attack Boxer Monster - Retro Rides 2018

And the first Monster we´ll feature from our partneship with Retro Rides Gathering 2018 is the freshly rebuilt Subaru Legacy of Team Legacy UK. Driven and owned by Damien Bradley, this Monster was already a UK Time Attack Champion and is now transitioning into Hillclimb Racing.
Featuring a 2.35 Mike Latimer race engine producing around 700bhp using an AET developed GT35R billet turbocharger, it uses a Samsonas 6 speed sequential transmission with an optional Track Formula electronic paddle shift system. To stop the car there´s an Alcon full race spec 365mm 6 pot calliper setup has been fitted and for handling the complete whiteline catalogue is coupled with Nitron R3 suspension. The car runs exclusively on Torco race fuels and lubricants while all Race support is provided by SD Motorsport.

Any idea on the weight of this thing? Impressive output for a 2.4 litre Turbo, it's amazing how much power is being pushed out of sub 2.5 litre engines these days, especially the even smaller sub 1.4 litre engines, with the rate at which things are advancing we may even have 1000hp hydrogen combustion engines within the next decade, impressive stuff for motorsport and vehicles as a whole

Around 1200Kg as on the video. But with a lot stuff that won´t be needed on proper timed Hillclimbs (like a passenger seat and big fuel tank among other things). So under 1100Kg is very possible ;)

HillClimb Monsters This could probably get close to 1025KG with a few minor tweaks, impressive stuff, any lighter and you'd need to add more aero to keep the front down, and, the whole car down in the corners

We were just giving a conservative, very achievable number, but really there is a lot of potential to go crazy both on weight loss and Aero in this machine. We are sure this not the only time we´ll feature it on our Channel ;)

Maybe less lol, considering the car has pretty extreme weight reduction and moves like a 450 whp sti ..id imagine its a stock 2.0 motor with an sti turbo running max boost...turbo comes on way to fast to be large enough to make big power. Quick spool and linear power. Very stock like characteristics

@@vaugr1917 Read the discription again. Far from stock anything. Built motorsport spec 2.3l motor, big turbo, 6 speed sequential transmission. Its obviously running antilag by the exahust note, so your BS comment about spool time being too fast for a large turbo is invalid. And Ive seen and driven my fair share of 400-500HP Rexes and STis... and NONE of them could spin all four tires from a dig like this car did at the start of its run. That holeshot was beastly. This thing will eat a "450hp" street spec STi alive. Its a legit hillclimb car, ie: a no shit race car.
