Hey yes it was stock motor at that time. I did eventually lose compression in cylinder 2. But it likely was due to oil issues. I wasn't running a good oil at that time and I had a big leak happen and the engine may have ran on low oil due to thag

Thought maybe spark plugs or coils but changed those and changed valve covers becsuse of oil in a spark plug tube but still have same issue. Driving me mad. Just want to get it running properly and upgrade it

I wonder how this would be if you did a crazy weight reduction. I’ve seen an NA setup at 2800ish lbs. but I’m sure the turbo kit and supporting mods add 100+ lbs.

Currently at 3500 lbs with the back seats out and trunk gutted. But of course turbo kit and fuel system ads a bit of weight back. I'm sure it could do with more lightening but I like the full interior street car look still. Can always just turn up the boost with some ethanol or what I'm looking at now is changing back to the old cams and waking it back up in the mid range

@@alvinperry1207 why do cams change the power band to either (I assume) low mid high end. I remember in an old video he said the TT G35 has more torque around 4k even though it has stock cams.

@DEATHWISHVQ35 Aftermarket cams have more lift and duration. More lift means you can cram more air and fuel in the cylinder (better for higher rpm engines). More duration can do the same as lift, but it keeps the valves open longer (at the cost of low rpm power). That's why him switching from the 282 cams back to the 272 cams will help with the mid range power. (Someone correct me if I am wrong)

I just wanted to know what you use for your rear end and the 2004 Infiniti G 35 coupe in the build, and never tells you what you have put like if you put a differential in it or if it’s LST factory and then you put different gears. The single is still better in my opinion, it just needs cams that aren't so aggressive top end. If the G was able to get into 5th it would have absolutely walked away up top. More importantly on the old jwt C8 cam the mid range was far more agressive. A good single setup+brake boost for roll racing in a g37 would do fantastic.

@nnadi_nexus The HR I would trust a lot more, but I'd still be weary daily driving it. The DE is just way less reliable and has some problems since its the first generation VQ. I wouldn't trust it being my daily if it were boosted. I actually daily a G35 and even tho it's not boosted it has problems here and there.
