Misha made it this time lol Good to see Tamron kept her word & invited 702 back to perform. They did a great job. Irish is definitely missed. But glad Misha & Meelah are keeping 702 going for Irish. 702 don't need to replace Irish. No one can replace Irish. The one person that could ever fill in as a 3rd member would be Cree Lamore. Loved those Irish t-shirts Misha & Meelah were wearing in this video. Really enjoyed hearing Misha singing the backing vocals, not just hearing the playback playing instead. Somebody better show this performance & "This Little Game We Play" to the Encore girls that said she couldn't sing lol.

Clearly you aren't a 702 fan since you don't know who Cree Lamore is, who filled in for Meelah when she wasn't in the group in 2001, just like when Misha was pregnant their sister Orish (Irish twin) filled in for her in 1999, who was orginally in the group with their cousin before Meelah got in the group. I said fill-in, not replacement. Do your research. Meelah & Misha are keeping 702 going for the fans & in memory of Irish & her legacy in the music industry. No one can ever replace Irish. 702 will always be Meelah, Misha & Irish.

Wow, I totally forgot they gonna come back to performed this month. Like Tamron said. Already?? It is been nearly three months ago since their interview. Gosh time has flown on by so fast. 702 is one of my favorite 90s female group period! I am definitely blessed they pulled through together from the passing of their bandmate Irish. I still cannot believe shes not here anymore😑😑 I cannot wait to see 702 for the second time in July-my birthday month-I want to meet them someday .. These ladies still got it after 28 years in music industry. They still looking good, never changed a thing. Keep on shining ladies. Irish, you are definitely missed. Rest well angel

I can tell that Misha has been practicing to get back into vocal shape after over a decade of not performing regularly and smoking. She held down her soprano background part well. However, the group needs to add a third member to sing the alto parts on the background. I know they're still feeling the loss of Irish, but this is business. If they're going to be a working group again they need someone to sing the alto parts to round out their sound.

@@longbranch11207 She does the bare minimum, as you say, because that's what Michael Bivens reduced her role in the group to. Misha used to be the lead singer of 702 when they first came out. When the group signed with Michael Bivens he kicked out two original members, demoted Misha to background vocals, and added new girl Meela as the lead singer. The majority of the songs that Mike had them singing didn't call for Misha and Irish to do anything more than be doo wop singers in the background. Now, since they're performing their OLD songs, Misha has to sing the parts she was given. *That you expect a background singer to not stay in the background is crazy.* Here's what Misha sounded like when 702 first came out: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eXi1hIBjba6Zqdk&pp=ygUkNzAyIGFuZCBzdWJ3YXkgdGhpcyBsaWwgZ2FtZSB3ZSBwbGF5. There's not that much difference between her voice and Meela's voice, so why Mike Bivens felt the need to add Meela to the group I'll never know. Anyway, I think they only had Misha perform with Subway in this performance because there would've been too many people on the stage otherwise.

The problem is that Meela and Misha are both high (and "squeaky") sopranos and there's not enough contrast between their voices for them to be a two member group. They need to get a third member to sing the alto background parts while Misha sings the soprano background parts, not to "replace" Irish but to round out their background vocals.

I think she lost a lot of confidence when Mike Bivens replaced her with Meela as the group's lead singer. It was Misha singing lead in their hit song with Subway, "That Little Game We Play". There's even a video of her performing the song LIVE with Subway and she ate and left no crumbs. But, in this performance, I didn't see lack of confidence. I saw lack of a third member to sing the alto background part with Misha singing the soprano background part. Yeah, Meela was singing background with her, but they're both first sopranos and there's not enough contrast between their voices.

@@RosalindGash I definitely agree with you but Misha needs to accept change in terms of who is the lead singer. Meela has a stronger voice than Misha. Misha needs to adjust to what her voice can manage and blend with. When Misha was singing the lead on Understanding at the Black Music Honors awards show paying tribute to Xscape, her voice was not strong on lead plus it seems like she did not take the time to do some vocal training. She needs to know what works for her voice, she cannot sing lead again.
