Hydro Dipped Terra Cotta Pots! Spray Paint Art
In today's video I am painting some terra cotta pots by hydro dipping them with spray paint! I started with putting a clear coat on the inside so they would be waterproof, and then used black and white to paint plain coats on the outside. Once they were dry for a day, I filled a 5 gallon bucket with water and used a few different colors of spray paints, spraying them directly on top of the water, and then just dipped the pots right into the spray painted water! This was definitely a learning experience and I will be trying them again, but overall it was fun to try out! My husband re-dipped one of them and we figured out that you need quite a bit of spray paint in the water to get some nice coverage.

What a great idea! The spray paint floats on top of the water. I have two terracotta pots I was going to paint with some kind of acrylic pour, but I hate wasted paint. I'll have to give this a try. Thanks for the idea!

Really lovely, how did you hang them to dry without touching the wet paint?

I flipped them over and rested them on cups to dry.

With all the chemicals/sprays used, can you put live plants in them?

I believe so, people who garden a lot asked me to try this out. I assume you may not want to put anything in it that you'd end up eating though.
