70inch Outerlimits RC Offshore Racing Boat ~ GTX Hull ~ RC Boat ~ RC Speedboat

This is one of the first test runs of my GTX hull, which is airbrushed to look like Nigel Hooks 2014 winning World Championship boat "Outerlimits".
This is running with the RMCK Inline Twin S520.
Unfortunately towards the end of this video, because of a sharp turn I perform, the flexi-drive snaps, all part of testing I guess! It was replaced.

It turns so realistic. If it were me I'd run a 12s setup. Gas is awesome too but that's me.

out drive has to be set lower in the hull

I used to love to run rd boats but was ran off from every place that was big enough to run them so I give it up and I had 6 boats and some of them were really fast and I do miss it cause it was a lot of fun

Drago the only place I know for a hull this size is Bonzi boats or MHz in Germany as my hull is not available anymore I wouldn’t use a weed eater engine as they are not water cooled go for a zenoah

Bonzi boats are very nice & very expensive! I like to build big gas boats for cheep! I just finished one with a air cooled $45 new 47cc scooter 2 stroke engine, I put it in a plastic toboggan I got from Walmart for $20! It works great!! Mount the engine in the middle of the 50” toboggan to keep porpoising down. See you at the lake!

I have a king of shave p1 56"' V hull rc boat that i bought from someone but it's missing some parts was wondering if u had an idea of what size strut and rudder, trimms, turning blade etc. does it carry and what site i can buy it from ???

Running way to wet. My guess is the ride pads are hooked. Common problem on fiberglass hulls. Put a straight edge on the ride pads. From the transom forward. If you can see the light between the hull and the straight edge you’ve got hook in your hull. Do you want your serves be perfectly flat. If you have hook fill it & sand it out with body filler. Hook will rob you of so much speed & power it’s ridiculous! Turn the sink water on and gently hold a spoon between your fingers so It can rock back in forth up to the water. Notice how the back of the spoon pushes away from the water that’s called rocker and the front of the spoon sucks the spoon into the water that’s the hook affect. Some boat hulls have rocker which is bad as well and will make your boat run to light on the water..you want flat that’s the goal. See you at the lake!!

This video is over 5years old when I first built it since then the engine was removed and now has a twin prop fast electric set up and runs great thanks for your comment tho 👍

Sounds like you are dragging a weight behind it.. Engine revs don't match the speed. Maybe your prop needs to be lowered. You don't seem to be lacking power

Hi Michael, Thanks, im not sure if you can still get this hull now, I got mine through a third party via someone who ran a boat parts website in the UK, the website has been taken down now. However you can get a similar hull, from MHZ in Germany, hope this helps :)

So you couldnt properly setup the gas engine so you went Electric and still you make things complicated with a dual ESC...? Ever heard of the KISS method? Sometimes all you need is the right person to accomplish greatness... good luck

Sorry I only speak English this video was taken when I first got the boat since then I have changed it from gas powered to twin fast electric runs 8s on each motor and goes great now 👍
