I was planning to upgrade my car's dash cam in India (Kerala) and finalised for a ddpai mini in the front and a nexdigitron neo for rear. Then i saw your video about A500s and bought one here from Dubai. Got it for about 6500rs after the seller discount and an offer on my bank card. The mini + neo + 2 memory cards will cost around 8k and then it is only 1080p, two apps, no screen, and two 12V power supply sources etc. I am happy that i got a 2.7k resolution dual channel dash cam with ADAS and other features for a lesser price. Very Detailed Video. One more thing you could have included is, show whats inside the ADAS feature. Like, the feature is Off now., But, if you Turn on, what sub=options do we get. Electrostatic sticker makes removing the dashcam easier without leaving any sticker residue or marks on the windshield. Timelapse video is where the dashcam records video at the rate of 1 frame per second resulting in a longer duration of recording compressed into a small duration. For example a 30min recording will playback within 1-2 mins.

I am trying to find out how to enable simultaneous recording with both front and back camera with 70mai A800s. Haven’t found any setting yet on camera itself. May be I am missing something or simultaneous recording isn’t possible with it.

The A800S Dual Channel Dashcam, records simultaneously as long as the rear camera is connected to the front cam and the dashcam is powered on. Check the sdcard in your pc/laptop for both recordings in separate folders.

If that’s what you mean by “back camera connected to front camera” Both the cables are connected properly. When front camera is recording then back camera doesn’t record as no videos are saved in back camera folder. But when I manually activate the back camera recording, which stops the front camera recording, I can see the videos being saved in back camera folder.

Great video! One thing I'm not sure about is whether this camera is supposed to hold a charge. It powers off when I turn off my vehicle. When I turn on my vehicle it powers on and records fine, but I get a "Low Battery" warning. Any thoughts?

Battery might have degraded to the extent it cannot hold charge. You may have to get it repaired or replaced at the dealership.

No. The camera does not stay on when the engine turns off. BUT it also doesn't give any 'low battery ' warning either. The battery in the dashcam is to ensure that when there is sudden power cutoff, the dashcam is able to complete the video file being recorded at that particular moment and not create a corrupted file. Also, to keep time synchronised.

Hello, I made a connection from the fuse. The camera records when the ignition is off, but does not record in time lapse mode. It records in normal mode. I learned that I can solve the problem by resetting the device in a few videos. I reset the device but the problem still persists. There is no recording in the time lapse folder.

Yes the rear camera is set to default at 1080p and you cannot change it. And regarding the rear camera video quality, it is average in almost all dual channel cameras and not just this. If you want excellent rear camera quality then you have to invest atleast 25K and get VIOFO A229 Plus Dual

You can never predict from which direction the next accident/incident might happen with your car. For example, Some other car might hit your rear bumper while taking reverse. In such cases, having only a front camera will be practically useless. So it's always better to have coverage from all directions. So a dual channel dashcam is better than single channel.

If you purchase a hardwire kit(separately), and connect the dashcam to it to get parking monitoring, then the hardwire kit draws power from your car battery. But this too has a battery protection feature built-in so that it doesn't drain the battery a lot. If you haven't purchased hardwire kit(separately) and only purchased the dashcam, then it's powered up by the 12V power outlet of the car, which doesn't use the battery. So no issues.

Both cameras are supposed to record simultaneously. If not, there must be technical problem. Contact Nexdigitron via their WhatsApp support number and register a complaint and get the camera replaced under warranty.

I have got the dashcam 70mai A500s hardwired today from the fuse box of the car and the it showing the Parking symbol on the dashboard screen (when ignition off) but couldn't find the videos in the parking and timelapse folders, both options are enabled from the dashcam. Videos are available only in front and rear cameras folders. Please advise what could be the potential reason for this. Thanks!

Try resetting the camera. And re-enable the parking mode settings.

I have installed the same dash cam. The rear cam is recording videos just fine. But the main cam's video recording is not clear and have distorted recording and the video is getting blurred. What shall be done to make it not distorted? Do I have tp change any of the settings?

Have you removed the sticker covered on the main camera lens? Wipe any dust/ fingerprints on the lens with clean cloth. Also, check the videos by downloading them to your pc/laptop. The videos showing in app or dashcam screen will be low resolution just to show you the status.

@@traveltechyoutube I have tried everything and yes I am seeing the video quality on laptop. There is a problem in recording. Like every second its stopping and recording with white screen all over video. I can share you video sample on email. If you allow.

If that's the case, there must be an issue. If its under warranty, get it replaced immediately. Contact Nexdigitron Service Centre through their WhatsApp support number.

Go with Mola N3 if summers and heat are your major concern. And as I said in my previous reply, the concern regarding the battery issue is overhyped with no string backing of evidence to prove that dashcameras blow up or burn out. I would personally prefer the A500 due to on screen controls, as it is more convenient.

Is Ddpai z40 better because of super capacitor and d2save storage ? Or is there any strong reason why you would recommend a500s over z40 ? Like app issues or image quality or adas etc ?

Currently, ddpai seems to have some app issues. Not sure how long its going to take to get it corrected. So for now, A500 would be a better option.
