I was in high school and college in the 70s. A lot of the styles you have in this video are actually 60s fashions. My sisters were wearing those styles in the 60s.

A lot of those styles were 60's. I'd like to see something like satin jackets, halter style tops and dresses, Candie's shoes, clogs, Dittos pants, coulottes, Diane Von Furstenberg wrap dresses, velour v-neck shirts, puca shell necklaces,etc. That's the 70's I knew.

I dressed that same since I was little kid. I will wear a t-shirt, jeans, sweatshirt or hoodie, and a pair of sneakers. I’m a little bit Tomboyish in growing up in the 70’s though today. I will wear a dress when I feel like it. My style of clothing is comfortable to wear. When I wore these slacks with this one top that goes with when I was 7 years old. Sometimes I would wear a sweater when I was a kid. Even my mother made these jumpers with slacks for me and my sister to wear when we were little.

Firstly the 70's was divided into two mindset halves. The first half was still Viet Nam War era and influenced by the Beatles and both rock and folk music with Motown influence into Disco. Now the second half of the decade was a return to a more feminism - not feminist time with hemlines dropping to mid-calf, Gunne Sax style cotton dresses. Button down shirts tucked into designer jeans like Sergio Valente and Big name designers put out their version. The two halves of the decade were like two different worlds. One half with a real war, the other half Star Wars.

The look you show at the beginning of your video is late 1960s HIPPY fashion.It is NOT 1970s fashion.Hippies did NOT wear platform shoes.They wore sandals or went barefoot.Hippies are a "back to nature" (not really nature but their mistaken version of nature)fashion movement.Hippies wore their hair washed,parted in the middle with no hairspray.Those colored glasses you show at the beginning of the video are 1960s style hippie glasses NOT 1970s style. 1970s style fashion is like this:wide leg pants(not bell bottoms.Those are hippie fashion).Platform shoes,glam make up,flipped bangs.After 1976 till 1979 fashion turns to disco so platform shoes are out because people can't walk in them.Skirts are at least knee length and disco is the thing until punk rock ew wave takes over. If you want to listen to some great music that really evokes the early to mid 1970s you should check out"Loves'Theme"by The Love Unlimited Orchestra.

This video is simply my interpretation of 1970s style (which is bleeds into and is heavily inspired by elements of late 1960s fashion), based on research provided in the description. The looks in the video are not limited by the hippie aesthetic specifically, but rather the time period. It was not meant to be precisely and completely historically accurate as it was created using items I already had in my closet.

@@StyledByKhatia Fine,it's just your "interpretation" of the 1970s but you really should say so in the caption for your video because the way it's presented you really misrepresent the 1970s.Also,it's really debatable if people in the 1970s were so influenced by 1960s hippies because they are seen as a naive fashion/political movement by the 1970s.
