I think they understand the behavior of predators on a much more subtle level than we are capable of understanding. Nothing spiritual, just body language.

My theory is that animals and babies are in fact more spiritual, due to their innocence. I believe that makes them significantly more in-tune with nature on a frequency level that most humans lose in their progression to adulthood due to the way our world is. Once that innocence is gone, we lose that ability and it is very difficult to reacquire. Just my opinion.

Listening to the pet savior stories makes me remember a few nights back when my dog (Siberian Husky) pulled me away from a homeless guy following us (everyone told me huskies make terrible guard dogs) she didn’t mind him at first until we passed him and he got up and started to follow us she took one look back at him and she stopped and snapped at him her whole body was trembling with anger (I always carry a blade just in case) and she lunges at him and kept snapping at him until he put some distance between us and she started walking behind me almost pushing me and pulling on her harness to make us walk faster until we got home. I will always be thankful for her even being the runt of the litter she’s the most protective as of today we’ve had 3 run ins with the same guy and he’s only followed once more the third time he stayed on the other side of the street.
