​@@cigokas6175nah for real fans who watch the future trunks special would no this Gohan didn't have the benefit of training with Goku and piccolo the androids appears I believe 2-3 yrs after Goku passed from the heart virus so that whole timeline had weaker z fighters Vegeta included basically to give us a Terminator timeline in which a warrior from the future can come back and give the z warriors we are following currently a chance to avoid it

@@cigokas6175 The people calling him weak also forget that everyone had no idea such a powerful threat was coming. In the present, they had Trunks warn them to train intensely for 3 YEARS. Future Gohan probably slowed down significantly on training after Goku died, as I would imagine anyone who just lost their father would, and had to catch up to the androids with no help until Trunks.

Also I prefer the history of trunk's dlc in dragon ball Z: kakarot, I think future Gohan's story was way better there, there's a sequence right before he died where the game gives you control of a tired Gohan, barley being able to attack the androids doing zero damage, then instead of the androids blasting him down, he beam clashes with them with one last Kamehameha before he gets overpowered and disintegrated

Rewatching this and honestly Future Gohan was stronger in the anime than the manga one-shot. In the one shot, 17 told him he wasn't even using 50% of his strength against Gohan. But in this movie, he could have peaced up 17 and 18 if it was 1 v 1.
