72 Camaro core support repair, fitting fenders

man nice work glad some guys pitched in with great info. Great work buddy, I know I'm gonna be looking at all the same issues on dad's old 84 c10 because I'm gonna end up with them aftermarket fenders, inners, core support, and already have the doors, and as you seen they aint perfect for sure. Looking forward to more buddy as always, and glad you're back out working on it. I gotta get back on my 79 TA once I get dad's truck done.

Glad you got it figured out, my fenders are the same, Passenger side you can throw it on, Drivers side I fiddled with for about 2 days.

I bought an aftermarket core support not a very good reproduction I still have the original seriously thinking of cutting apart the new one for parts to do rust repair on the original

Yea, mine was just ok. My old support was extremely rusty!

You had mentioned in a comment to me that you had trouble with the skirts. Did you ever make a video about that?

asicerik Not yet. This whole core thing held me up. I've got a couple clips to add to the next one.

Good work. Looks great now. Did you cut the rad opening out all the way on yours ? I'm concerned that the opening is not big enough for my LS rad. And I don't have the factory core to compare to ? You can trim both sides to open it up all the way but really it's the drivers side that is concerning me.. good luck buddy.

I didn’t cut the opening at all. Gonna run electric fans so I will not know about airflow till later on. Thanks for watching
