My bike is currently sitting under a tarpaulin in the pouring rain (England) awaiting a new fuel pump, (I don’t have a garage/shed so I’m at the mercy of the weather..).. seeing these long (dry!) roads of yours gives me hope.

Auguri. Nick

Nick, I'm a wee bit envious of your last turns of the rubber for this year. Any Guzzi on the fly is a wonderful sound. Could feel myself in the saddle on the Mill Road. I resisted mothballing Mr Guzzi (2013 V7) in hope of a final ride or two. It snowed two days ago and this morning my 'do I ride thermometer' read -18 (C). Sigh. Now I have to wait until it is warm enough to ride the bike up a steep ramp and into the shop for its winter refit. I'll be replaying this ride a few times in the next five months.
@nick949eldo Жыл бұрын
-18c - that seems a little depressing so early in the season. On the bright side, you're in the Yukon, so even if you're not able to ride, you do have that breathtaking scenery all around which, I'm sure, isn't hurt by a dusting of snow. Stay well. Spring will be here in......well, a few months anyway.😁

Even though I enjoy burbling along at 30-40mph, we've just had Storm Babet and my AJS is in bits, so I don't think I'll be seeing many autumn leaves in Northumberland this year. They don't hang around for very long in this neck of the woods anyway.

Hi Nick. The Fall is by far my favourite time for riding. All through the July heat I look forward to mid August and the first hint of changing colours in the leaves. September is my favourite month of the year. Unfortunately we didn't get that transition this time around though. Not even a frosty morning yet. I have two ritual Fall rides. One is the first few days of the first week of October, staying in Bracebridge and wandering around the Muskoka lakes. The colours this time weren't as dramatic as those that I see in my photo's from previous year's rides. But the roads are always wonderful. The other is out through Renfrew and Eganville, then down the 512 (Foymount Road), 515, and 514. I did this one just last Thursday (19-Oct). Unfortunately it clouded over south of Eganville making this year's disappointing foliage even more dull. But the clouds had a drama of their own, and sometimes the more subtle dry browns of the fields and roadside bushes are more appealing in the softer light. Although I didn't set out to ride any dirt roads, much of Foymount road is torn up now for rebuilding, so I got my share of gravel. Outside of Renfrew I only saw one other bike on the road all day. Good to see that you were out for a cruise. You're putting those semi-dirt tires on the Guzzi to good use.

Glad to hear you're out and about Irvin. We'll probably bump into each other again before the snow flies.

Excellent work Nick. Just home from a lovely late autumn run myself albeit a fraction of the mileage covered by yourself. Indeed the steed does seem to run crisper in the cool late afternoon air. Unfortunately with the Ambo wrapped up for winter I had to make do with one of my old MZs also a characteristic machine, well in my opinion anyway…. Take care.
