Another great vlog filled with honesty. It’s what we appreciate best about your channel. The good, the not so good, and even the bad. Love how you take it in stride and still find a way to enjoy your time. Life, as you said last week, is good. Don’t let the not so great moments drown out the great ones. Like the Hanbock photo shoot! You looked stunning in those photos (gotta love the Converse shoes!!). And getting to meet the artist and get a special signing-how amazing. Also, you are correct, einspänner is from Vienna; it’s espresso with cold whipped cream. Here’s hoping you continue to have a great time in S Korea. Looking forward to this week’s IG posts and next Sunday for the vlog. Now-we’re off to find some good Korean food (you are such an influence!😂) Rob&Erin

Harriet and I had a lot fun in Seoul. We were there 8 years ago with a touring group. Hope to get back there in a couple years . We have a question for you ? ; Food Service ? How long were the queues and the wait for food ? That was such a joy to meet the couple who are artists . And to have the artist sign his name to the prints you bought. How cool was that! And you know you can never see it all. A return trip should be on your bucket list. Hope your doing ok Phoebe. Sending you much love❤❤ from Harriet, Jim and Yuki

So - another great watch. Seoul looks like it has a lot of food I would be nervous about trying. The coloyrs and imagery are something else. Now about me. 😂 I'm off on a trip to Edinburgh in the morning, but I'm putting an extra day on to explore. I've had to put in time in places before waiting to meet people or catch flights, but I have never attempted solo tourism before. Going with a different mindset. I know it's only a day, but I am more excited than nervous, and it's thanks to watching your vlogs that I want to try this, so thank you!

@@travelforphoebe I had a really great time. I was just in the right frame of mind. I went to the Nationall Museum and on a Ghost Bus Tour, and none of it felt weird or uncomfortable. I also stopped for a pint in a Frankenstein theme bar. I have seen a bit of the world, but Edinburgh remains one of my favourite cities. It is spectacular, night and day. It is so old and quaint. It feels safe and there are great places to eat and drink. I couldn't recommend it highly enough. If you get that far, my return flight from Belfast was only £35, so it's not a huge step to see what we have here. I am going to go solo again at some point on mainland Europe, before or after the next football trip I am on. Thank you for the inspiration.

I love all the fast food chains, denny's, mc donalds, casual street food, just good ole tasty food that doesn't need to look the best, but taste amazing!!! You're getting me excited to visit Seoul one day! Totally get you having one of those days where things aren't just working out! I've trained myself to just laugh it off, and just be grateful of the positives, and affirm how lucky I am to be here and get to see/experience this, and if something doesn't work out, it means something better/more aligned is coming through!! I notice if I keep saying how bad something is or complaining, it then compounds more undesired circumstances throughout the day! P.S recommend everyone to watch Physical 100! It's a Korean show, has Squid Game vibes, but it's a reality tv game show where 100 men & female of all ages and races compete for 300k through fitness quests! It's such a good inside into Korean culture and mannerisms!

Thank you for mentioning the Sunflower Guest House. As a solo traveller it seems to offer a clean, simple, and comfortable options. I can't believe they offer free food! From the videos I've seen the best bakeries in Seoul are not necessarily super cheap, but the quality is next level for the price you pay. The lemon pastry was making my mouth water. So cool to have met the artist in their gallery. I can't help but feel art has more meaning when you've met the artist or connected with them personally somehow.

sounded german, just looked it up, Einspänner originates from Vienna in Austria. The Story i found goes like this: A traditional Viennese coffee, combining espresso and a generous topping of whipped cream. The story goes that this coffee was named after the one-horse-drawn carriages in Vienna. For coachmen it was an ideal drink for travelling, as the cream would keep the coffee warm and prevent any spillage. Served in a tall, handled glass so that the coachmen could keep hold of the reins in one hand and enjoy a coffee whilst on the move.

At first, a small room like this can traumatize you. But once you get used to it, you'll be satisfied that it's very convenient and not lacking. If you feel stuffy because it's small, you'll see a wide world unfold as soon as you walk out of the door, and if you're in that room, you'll be able to get your act together in your own world. Especially if the price is too low, you'll be very happy because it completely solves the cost of accommodation, which is one of the biggest burdens you'll feel when you travel. Basic meal drinks, coffee, fruits, and instant noodles are also offered for free, as shown in the video. This is a place to offer at a very reasonable price.

I think the coex starfield is my least favorite place in Seoul. It's not a library, it's an instagram location with books in a mall. Downtown Seoul, the old city hall is now the metropolitan library and is an actual decent library. It has nice views up on the roof and the second floor is a little mini-museum where the mayors office used to be. So much better than starfield for anyone who likes libraries.

I think the food in Myeongdong and some in Gwanjang market are overrated. There are so many other restaurants with good food! Loved your video, your smile, and your soprano scream!

You chose places to go that were tourist and Instagram traps. I avoided them when I was there last month because I was warned by my daughter who lives there. Love your honesty though. Too many vloggers saying how great certain locations are. There are so many different places to eat, drink coffee, eat street food, and take photos that no one talks about.

Spicy korean food is modern food, not traditional food. In the past, there were no chili peppers in Korea. Trational korean food has no chili pepper, including kimchi, little seasoning and is mild.

The sushi place is called *Yummy Long Dong* (it's actually deong), funny, but it is what it is.

Most people in Myeong-dong and other tourist spots are Korean. I work at a nearby workplace and spend time in Myeongdong on my way home from work, or I visit Myeongdong or another bustling place after work in another area to meet friends, shop, and eat. Foreigners make up 10% blow of the total number of people on the street? It will be within 10%.
