I feel exactly the way you do about farming.. I have for a few years. I am going to decide this year on what my next move will be. Probably keep going as most everything is paid for, but maybe cut back to 500-1000 acres. Its hard to find someone my age that can relate to these issues..

Yeah its been rough I almost lost everything after 2013 and I'm not going to repeat that cycle again because I can't handle it mentally or physically. I can scale way down and get a part time job anywhere and live without all the risk and stress. My wife my kids and my life are all that matters to me anymore. Thanks for the comment.

Agreed on the tools. Just set up a Montezuma box on the farm f350 flatbed and went with a mixture of Carlyle wrenches/ swivel head ratcheting wrenches, Tekton screwdriver set, HF icon sockets. Much easier on the bank account and I can drive 15 minutes should I ever have to warranty a socket. Kinda like sears and Craftsmen used to be.

I have sold like 3 hayrack loads of snapon tools in the last 6 months and I don't regret it 1 ounce. Like you said tekton icon whatever it doesn't Matter I like my money in my bank account instead of snapon etc. I love snapon stuff but it's stupid expensive

I work with some of these “anti seize cowboys” you speak of. It’s terrible. It works but overkill isn’t needed with that stuff. My opinion.

Yeah 20yrs ago when I worked as a tech for vermeer it was really bad working on underground boring machines. Everything on them was covered in copper coat anti seize.
