Glad that adjusting the pump woke that thing up! I've been doing them that way for years. Old guy that had a pump shop told me that trick. Crazy how much of difference it can make. I've had customers wanting me to pull the pump and just doing that little "tuneup" they're amazed. Let me know if you have any other questions. I think I work on them in my sleep 🤪

Before you turn the fuel delivery screw I'd set the low idle and the governor bumper spring. Unhook the throttle cable at the pump then back out the lower bumper spring set screw until the engine no longer slows down on rpm then adjust the top low idle screw in until the engine idles at 810 rpm with the A/C on. Then turn the bumper screw in until the engine idles at 900. I'll jack the throttle to check the adjustment after I'm done to fine tune it and make sure that it stays. That adjustment is critical for the governor to react and work properly
@rgfarmsrepair503
@rgfarmsrepair503 14 күн бұрын
That is exactly what I did yesterday off camera. I set it to 825 then used bump screw to take it to 875 per the service manual. Thanks for the comment

@@rgfarmsrepair503 I like to bump them the full 90 RPM and have it idle at 900. Keeps the PTO chatter away at low idle and makes it react quicker. Did it wake it up?
@rgfarmsrepair503
@rgfarmsrepair503 14 күн бұрын
@mattvandevelde3839 It was pouring rain outside so I haven't been able to try it out. I bet that is going to fix it because ur right it seemed like governor wasn't holding rpm under load and it was getting worse. It idled low after overhaul but must have settled in and started idling lower. I will readjust it today as you recommended 👌 thanks

250 I think it just needed pump adjustment. The bulk fill does make it pull harder than a box planter I can put 100 units of seed in it at a time and more hyd horse power to run pto pump and blower motor off remote
