louis angello it’s not about race. it’s about representation because the schools she’s interviewed people at are predominantly white. it’s about seeing poc succeed as much as their white counterparts :)

@@daniquerh most of the universities she went to are filled with fairly wealthy people and are located in fairly cold areas. Canada goose is known for being a very high end and very high quality winter jacket so you tend to see a lot of it. As someone who personally owns one, it's a really great jacket to keep warm while still looking good.

Can confirm that the cliquey-ness and the lack of school spirit is difficult to deal with. Also (this may seem obvious) but it's just so expensive to live there. I love NYU but there is this attitude of "get it done and go for it, figure it out yourself"

At 55 as of today, my university experience in retrospect in the 80s was going out 3 or 4 nights a week and partying too. But I can attest to the fact you won't remember most peoples' names and/or faces. Even if you didn't drink.

I am an NYU graduate and I wasn’t aware of those “4 libraries” he mentions in this video. The only library I know of (at least on the main campus) is Bobst and, though it may be opened 24/7, some rooms and floor may be closed after midnight. Moreover, diversity depends on the major that you pursue. In Engineering or Psychology, sure. You may see a diverse population of students. But, in the humanities and arts, I don’t think so. It was pretty evident for me since all NYU students are required to take Common Core classes in the humanities and liberal arts. I hope this extra info helps☺️
