I have a 6150R at my place that everybody hates. 2200 hours, 1 complete engine because of a pin hole in the block drained all the water, and ever since the engine change at 754 hours, we have burnt 7 or 8 turbos on warranty because of what we believe is because of the EGR and the like. Can’t wait to get it out of warranty so we can delete the thing. The 6145r we have on loader duty is a little better even though we had to send it back because the cab controller went flat dead. 7430 or 7710 would be much appreciated if you want to send one my way.

I was in the tour bus business while i was at a indy racetrack the bus i was in developed a antifreeze leak on the pit area of the track. It was a tiny leak caused by a motor rebuild where a metal antifreeze hose was rubbing against a bolt. You would have thought I peed in their cheerios they went nuts. By the way you work 3 times as fast as any mechanic That ever worked for me.

Rick O'shay Asfalt is made of bitumen oil, a Bi- Product of crude oil refining. “Crude oil” is the pure oil coming out of the ground... And as flat is a mix of bitumen, gravel rock, and a few other ingredients that make it stiff as it get cold, ( as of under 200˚ F)

Yeah I know this is an old video but holy crap the amount of people who don’t know anything about the number things they use on a daily basis are part or in whole made from oil and it’s byproducts. It’s not all used for fuel 90+% of the plastic is used too make every phone or iPad or laptop computers but they wouldn’t give up their devices to save the climate. Then the meds that millions if not 100s of millions use daily all the capsules and pill bottles the filler in tablets and millions of other products made with big scary monster oil. So if you ban fossil fuels it would shove the whole world back to the Stone Age.

I prefer working on older equipment. The company I work for has an average fleet age of 19. The oldest is pushing 30 years old. Can't work on modern equipment if you can't work on the technology it was built on, in my opinion.

The guys with the old equipment can afford to pay to fix the equipment because they aren't making payments on it.

I got my ass chewed on for spilling hydraulic oil from a roller on new asphalt by the jobsite foreman, apparently when the inspectors run the sonar over new asphalt different oil can come up as a void in the mat and the state will make you grind it out. Doesnt hurt anything but the pocket book.

It would be better for the environment if you did a better job of containing engine fluids instead of contaminating the ground.
@westerntruckandtractorrepa13535 жыл бұрын
If you believe that, then you need to rip up every asphalt highway in the country, their primary ingredient is oil and it's laying on top of the ground. You're obviously not a field mechanic and from an urban area.
@westerntruckandtractorrepa13535 жыл бұрын
