Good job! Better now than when it was new. I wasn't worried about welding near the bales, but I was concerned how close to all your cables you were gouging!

Yep, tough to reinforce that one unless you shorten the receiver tube.

That load point was a weak spot on the stack cruisers from the get go. Of course it doesn’t help when someone smacks some low hanging tree limbs etc and shoves the frame back!

#Warren. You might want to call Area Diesel Service in Carlinville Illinois. They can help you and troubleshoot parts and rebuild fuel injecter pumps, injectors, and turbos. Congrats to your daughter!🎉

Warren, excellent story about the future dozer, good work on the JD. A friend of mine had to have one replaced on his JD about two years ago and JD would not come out to the farm to do the job, he had to hire a low bed and push the tractor on the trailer with his dozer. JD charged him $3000.00 for the job. I don’t know if that was including the parts or just the labor. He had to pay the trucking as well.
@westerntruckandtractorrepa135312 сағат бұрын
I think I had 4 hours into the job, my labor was 600.00

Ok you got me curious Warren, was that 7018 1/8 welding rod or were you using a different welding rod type ?
@crandonborth14 сағат бұрын
Most likely a 6011 as its painted and rusty steel and thats were those rods shine.
@charlesb426713 сағат бұрын
@@crandonborth Or 6010 as I assume his welding rig is DC. I was looking at his welding stubs to get a visual on the weld rod vs the over all diameter of the flux and thought maybe 7018 because the flux is fairly thin on a 6010/6011. Obviously Warren can set us straight on our guessing game !
@crandonborth13 сағат бұрын
@@charlesb4267 Personally i think 7018 do a better job but can be a bit trickier if you don't have perfect conditions but leaves a nicer finish. The 6011/6010 rods are bit more aggressive and leave more spatter which is what i was seeing. Who knows... he could've been running a 1218 hardfacing rod for all we know... 😂
@charlesb426712 сағат бұрын
@@crandonborth 7018 is less prone to cracking the weld and I at least believe better at being able to flex without cracking. There is a reason why 6010 gets used for a root pass on thicker material to get the full penetration, then 7018 used to make the multiple passes to complete the weld. Sadly I so rarely weld that I have never gained the skills I should have ... then again I had never taken any courses in welding. Wish I had a mig ... and a tig as well and able to weld aluminum but don't have either of them.

LOVE to know what the hell it is with kubotas spitting engine bearings around the 4000 hr mark. The bearings in mine looked like the fuckin things spent 20 years in a acid bath... and dont feel bad warren. The stupid fuckers wanted 2 grand for a damned 2 cyl crank . It will be the last damned kubota i own

I think Warren has a wee devil on his shoulder telling him to weld close to the hay, just to wind up the comments. Lol. The foreshortening of the camera makes those bales look closer than they are. Good stuff Warren. Happy you are back!

I started using the Diablo brand metal cutting skill saw blades in my old 7 1/2inch wood cutting skillsaw. And they cut that soft steel like butter. Faster than a torch on most cuts and don't Ned ground smooth after cutting. Give it a try and you'll see. I was amazed when I tried it and I keep one around all the time now.

hello Warren, thanks for your videos, they are truly a homage to old school "work ethics", I understand the situation of 12 hour constant effort days with the best will in the world wanting to do more ending in ZZZZZ's eminating from me on settee after a bite to eat.
