Thank you so much for the video. How can I make a suggestion to PMDG? I want them to consider adding the engine wiggle during takeoff roll and touchdown. It would be more realistic. Seeing as you’re on the team it would be great if you could bring this up. Keep the content coming, we all learn a lot from you.

13:06 - either switch the a/p disco off as you said or bite the bullet and increase the joystick's deadzone.. If you take your time with calibrating the deadzone correctly you will most likely reap a lot of benefits imho, from being able to use things like the a/p disco function to having instant in-game feedback as soon as there's "pressure on the stick" (actually the spring pushing against your force, but anyways, you get my point) so it's always worth taking the time.. I'm not using the best of HOTAS systems (not the worst either, pretty much middle ground i'd say) and had to re-adjust my deadzone a few times over my simming years, still completely comfy doing things like AAR in that other, more combat orientated, sim for example.

I virtually paid a lot of my virtual fortune to have my a/c break down. I really hate failures and just don’t want to deal with them. I had a pres failure at FL200 yesterday and I nearly virtually passed out before I got failures turned off, which seems to be the best course of action.

As long as you don't have service based failured enabled your airplane should only deliver failures which are caused by mishandling it. If anything happens despite service based failures OFF and you are sure you didn't cause it yourself I would recommend to contact PMDGs support as there might be a problem with the airplane.

Thanks for this video. I would like to have a clarifications on "Services Based Failures". It is modeled according MTBF of different components, according to PMDG info. Anyway, I would like to know if statistical data used for this model are, let me say, tailored on mean usage of a "desktop-pilot" like us. I would say that probably not so many real life pilots will experience a severe failure in theirs long carrer of thousand and thousands of flying hours. So it is more less likely that, as a desktop-pilot who fly few hours per week, we have a lot of less chance to have a failure based on this model. Can you provide us more info about this point? Thanks a lot!

Nice video explaining these options but how do you assign the tiller in MSFS
@TractorMonkeywithJL2 жыл бұрын
Where do you find a tiller binding in the msfs control options menu? I've looked and looked and could never find one that says tiller. Also, I assume the rudder pedals also steer the nose gear in the real 737? Does the tiller and rudder pedals have the same ratio of turning the nose gear? Can the tiller make tighter turns than the rudder pedals, like when making sharp 90 or 180 turns on the runway? What would be the correct way of configuring the controls in the options menu for Tiller and Rudder over just Rudder? Does the tiller alone move the actual rudder or rudder pedals?
@joelfcp12 жыл бұрын
It is called nose wheel steering axis if i remember correctly. The tiller will move the nose wheel to a much higher angle than the rudder pedals do and it is used to steer the plane during taxi. The tiller will only move the nose wheel, not the rudder. The correct way would be to asign a rudder axis and if you have an extra axis asign it to the nose wheel steering. Hope this helps

Thank you for the video. I'd like to know whether the last IRS position in INIT REF page is also available in the real airplane or is this option just for making things easier with the initial position setting in the simulator. Thanks.
@A330Driver2 жыл бұрын
It is available and will show the last FMC position at the moment where the plane was shut down. It may not be entirely correct, especially if the airplane has been towed to another position.

I just bought the 737-700 and cant find the HUD option anywhere in the FMC and don't even see the HUD hardware above either the pilots seating area . Any ideas on how to actually see the HUD and how to use it ? Nobody on youtube or forums has any information about how to actually get the HUD to show up ...

It's somewhere on page 6 or so of the airline options. Don't quote me on the exact page. The introductionmanual will tell you exactly.
