I wonder if the vaso dilation has a similar effect to blood flow restriction both apparently reduce attrophy. I wonder if the effects attenuate

Attrophy might not be the right term. But I recall hearing of a study that showed reduced muscle mass loss in people with casts with blood flow restriction.
