Even if you don't want to use the cheat terminal for "cheating" I highly recommend getting it as the teleport feature can help you get out of a death loop

I'm still using "Fallout 2287 - Gas Masks of the Wasteland", it's one of my favorites of all time. Is it perfect? NO but the bugs are really easy to fix and once you get used to it it's not even a problem anymore.

Actually you can get into the old garage with the Rockin' Red Rocket mod. There is a button specifically for that purpose that will zone you into the vanilla interior. The mod author pretty much thought of everthing. :)

Re: PRP. Hi, I'm the dev. The comparison shown in this video shouldn't be used as a guide for how much of a difference the mod does for your system. Corvega, the Financial District, and I think a few interiors were the major places that got the bugfixes that impacts your draw call count, and most other locations had their duplicate references disabled which has a much less effect in places, but I've been told this helps with stuttering (aside from the known NPC issue in current NG's EXE) in places. Honestly, send me bug reports more than anything else so I can keep trying to fix this game with the tools I have. We've only been able to get the precombines system to be this good since 2020.

There is also Lightweight Lighting by SpringHeelJon and it has a lighting only file. It is very lightweight and good. And on the Horizon page he has a Weather and Lighting mod in the optional section. His lighting is lightweight and good as well. Just delete the weather files and only use the Lighting ones ad your good. They are way better for performance than UIL and ELFX.

Cheese for the algorithm, haha. Amazing work and fantastic modlist! You’ve got great taste in mods, and while the 76 HUD is definitely up to individual tastes, I’d say it’s still really impressive what they managed to implement given all the animations and such. Thank you for mentioning the chem animation mod, too. I didn’t want to grab the mod for animating every consumable since I don’t want it to interrupt combat, but now that I’m playing a second character that uses chems far more often (where my main, Esper, abstains from most things except alcohol to fit with her character) I wanted a mod that would include just the animations that would be more immersive for just those things! To me, by the way it looks, it might help with combat feeling too cheaty with chems while the game is paused through the HUD. Lots of mod recommendations I don’t remember seeing in some older videos too, so it’s nice not to see a direct rehash of previous mod lists even if all of them include some really good mods on their own, too! Kudos to you for putting together such a well rounded list with so many great recommendations. Will be sure to check some of these out!

i have been playing fallout since day `1, i am a 51 year old australian gamer, ive been gaming since th4e 70s and a massive self confessed geek obsessed with fantasy, sci fi, colllecting pop culture figurines having a collection wortth ovewr 2 million dollars, including a life sized christian bale batman worth 76,000 dollars, but above all, i love gaming of any kind, survival, sandbox, sci fi, fantasy and mmorpg games, palworld, and so much much more, but nothing has ever captured me like modding in fallout 4! this video was amazing im now looking through urt channel for mor emods !!!!

Looks like you didn't use Ony's movement speed plugin for the 3rd person animation mod cause the scope is clipping through your PC's head or it's being overwritten in the load order.

good video, except that it is the hud that you present or the mod which follows it is not on console I am looking in the mods and nothing and most of the hud mods do not work, so there you go, I don't know how did you do it but as soon as I install def core it makes me crash the game instantly or the game does not launch that's it. so if anyone can tell me why, after besthesda because of their update, it screwed up a lot of mod without talking about the people who worked on fallout london for 5 years. but in short, as their slogan would say, its just works. or the absurdity of having limited to 2 gb on console for fallout 4 while skyrim 5 and starfield 99. gb in short, besthesda doesn't care about the players.

You really shouldn’t use NAC or NAC X. As The Midnight Ride Fallout 4 Modding Guide (people who made the Viva New Vegas modding guide) say it’s bloated and very performance intensive. Just use at your own risk I guess. I stick with Lightweight lighting overhaul.

I using that for years now, has no performance impact, a little of course, nothing major. The Midnight Ride guide is a joke. I assume you arent modder, then use the MOFAM guide on Nexus.

It’s by the same people who make the Viva new Vegas guide so I’d like to say they know what they’re saying when it comes to modding. I couldn’t even find a Reddit post saying it was bad. Anyone who had issues got help from the people who made the guide to fix the issues (caused by user error btw)

I actually refuse to play any shooter in 3rd person. I tried a metal gear game and found it was only 3rd person and never continued. Completely takes me out of the game, and makes the controls feel weird.

I like a lot of the animations, but you have to be careful using too many animations in FO4. It can cause stuttering with too many. FO4 isn't like Skyrim where you can have hundreds or thousands. It will choke.

Immersive animations does the same thing but it also does food and drinks and I use FO4 sound overhaul I feel like it's more accurate to real-world weapons because the moder actually recorded every gun sound himself

I'd been loving using Aloots Home Plate for my current play through and had been using it with no issues for about 2 months, but in the last 2-3 weeks it had become impossible to go inside the home plate through doors or through fast travelling without it completely crashing my game. By the looks of a lot of the commenters on Nexus, they're also having the same issue! I had to spend a fair few hours recently trying to just get back in there to get my collectables out just so I could uninstall it from my game without losing my bobble heads and magazines. I'd be careful using the mod if I'm honest!

As hud I find minimal minimap and holotime a must have. The first one is a game changer, how many time couldn't find damn body fof loot. With minimap I configured it to show dead and not empty items bodies near me as a red X, kind of like Days Gone (tho is not red). The second help me to see the time both game and real without opening tactical tablet or alt tab to check my real time. Plus I also added the condition girl hud mod, to always have in check my character body condition, specially in survival with better locational damage.I remade my own hud with fall hud too.
