This is one of the best reviews of anything I"ve ever seen. Thanks.

Much appreciate the feedback Michael. Wait for the completed trailer upgrades next year.

hi Alec Always good to have a dedicated trailer for your hobby's (think how many scuba tanks would fit in there?)Anyways you talked about how to get the horse to step into the trailer but is it a problem for them to walk backwards down a step? Safe? I'm not a horse guy so not sure how they react. Take care Owen m

It's not usually a problem to get them off. I suppose after a drive that is bound to bump and sway them a bit they are happy to see the door open and can't wait to stand on solid ground. Alec

Nice horse float. Just be extra careful when loading a lot of weight into the front compartment as it can cause the tongue weight to be overladed leading to control difficulties such as lifting the utes steer axle to be light. There are several websites that tell you how to calculate the tongue weight and the problems it can cause.

Good point although I'm guessing it would take a heavy saddle to unbalance 2 horses in the back! Alec

I put a plastic bucket over the top of my trailer jack to keep the weather out when I'm not using it. I also give it a squirt or two of oil from time to time to keep it lubricated.
@AlecPeirceAtTheRanch5 жыл бұрын
Very good advice Matt. They must be oiled regularly! I don't know why the makers can't come up with a version that covers the top but the bucket idea is good. Diana made a cover for ours. It's waterproof Cordura and has a bungee-type cord at the bottom to hold it on when traveling. Take care. Alec

@@AlecPeirceAtTheRanch, that's an even better idea! Maybe you could add that to a followup video?

Whatever became of this trailer?

Still being worked on. With the Covid, we have stayed home so worked on other projects. When I'm comfortable traveling again, will have it shiny and perfect.

is a miley horse trailer a good trailer to have? does anyone know?
@AlecPeirceAtTheRanch3 жыл бұрын
Hi Darth. I don't know of miley trailers and don't follow any particular brand. As in this video, I don't mention the maker of my trailer as the focus is on features and fixing needed. There are several online horse trailer forums to obtain information from others much more knowledgeable about miley's. Try horsetrailerworld.com/forum/.

Does it have a suspension system?
@AlecPeirceAtTheRanch2 жыл бұрын
Nope as with 2 big horses, springs and shocks would elevate it making it tippy. Not good in cross winds or a tight curve. A..
