I love the tool kit caddy. I agree with you on including a higher quality pen instead of several small ones. I've used the tiny brushes to paint glue on any unsticky (is that a word? Lol) part of a canvas then toss it. Love the video!

I love this haul from Michael's as I feel like if you're needing extras it's at a nice price point. For the refill sleeves that go with the binder, it's a 10 count.

Great haul! Some of the tools are similar to what comes in an art dot storage kit. The larger straightener I used a lot when I started. The larger tray size is good but I find the flap on the front tricky to work with. I ended up breaking it off and using my finger to block the end when I needed to. Thanks for showing us more from Michael’s!!

I was just at Michael's a few days ago and I didn't see that Tackle Box Tool Kit. I will be looking for it next time I go there. I just started Diamond Painting 2 months ago and that would give me a great place to store some of my stuff.

My personal opinion, the tool kit would be good if there was easier access to the containers in the back (that would be no because of that) and if they added a nice pen like they do in certain kits. I do like the idea of binder storage. I think it would be nice if it was bigger but they are trying new things which is great! I like the bookmarks but I’m not a fan of the other things. I feel like they do better with the holiday kits but that’s just my personal opinion.

I just started painting and fell in love with a DAC square drill HUGE painting. Being intimidated, i decided to try a small canvas first with squares. I found the capybara and its nice to hear you go over the quality of it!! Thanks for this vid!

I spilt a whole bunch of drrills on my tiled floor once. I swept them into a pile and used one of those sticky pads to pick them up. Rinsed it of into o fine mesh strainer. Most of the dirt went right through drills stayed behind. Then dumped them onto paper towel to dry them off. Last bit of dirt stuck to paper towel.

We are so similar! As soon as someone in the Facebook group said there were new items I ran to the site. I also have the cabybara and a couple plaques arriving Tuesday. The storage binder is great! I got the cat bookmarks probably to use as ornaments as I hate thick book marks

Hi Katie, I started Make Market's Christmas 🎄 for Jingle Drills. What a nightmare. The majority of square drills were trash. Even the ones I were able to lay on the canvas would not lay straight. I am severely ADHD, and the whole kit upset me. So, I put all the drills in a lunch bag, and put the canvas back in the box. The whole kit I put in recycling. I will stick with rounds with Make Market

I bought a trading card holder from Homotte from Walmart to hold my Treasure cards and it is side loading. I think it would work for drill storage too!

I was very excited to see all the new things Michaels put out. I bought the toolkit, blue pen kit, green pen kit, as well as several of the new canvases including 1 square kit (the 5x7 kits- Wonders and European Landmarks- come with ABs). I find that their squares are better for confetti placing so I bought the Hydrangeas kit which is very confetti heavy. I kitted-up DAC's Months Mini Dazzles kit and I'm doing that as a year-long project so keeping those bottles in the toolkit is very handy. My favorite thing from the toolkit are the large pieces of blue wax. I can fill my entire 10 placer in one refill unlike the smaller wax pieces that I have where I have to turn the tip around to fill the remaining part. I'm very pleased with everything I bought so far! 😃

@@rebeccaclementz3756 It's only different because it is bigger and square instead of round. Otherwise it's the same. I bought their scented waxes in the past and they're not that strong. I didn't really notice the scent while working on my canvas so the whole scented wax thing is a bit of a gimmick.

I love when you show the new things that you have found. I have only been able to find it in stores here where I live about once or twice. I dont know why because the store is less than a year or two old. It would seem that they would have all the new things. Anyway, I may contact someone and inquire why that its. I will have to order these things online or go to another city to get them.

I diamond paint on an angle and use the sticky pads. They do get dirty easily but you can just rinse them off with water to clean them and let them dry, they're good as new. I used to use the clips to hold back the plastic when I first started and then used them to hold my painting on my light pad.

I use those "sticky" pads on a flat surface - it just makes my trays less likely to go flying because my flat surface is quite shiny/slippy. And you can run them under water and wipe them off to clean them!

Someone said she had better results with using the sticky pad to hold the tray when she used small pieces of pad. The tray stuck too well to the entire pad.

Easy fix for top/side load pockets is a piece of washi or other top at the pocket opening. On Monday 1-27-25 I bought a Brayer, MM Stylus Kit, MM Release Paper. & 8-pack Peppermint Wax on 80% clearance. Only discount I had personally was Senior discount. Paid less than $36. Have you used the release papers yet? I'm asking because I'm having an issue with them not sticking. Don't know if the issue is with cheap/old kits ( dried out glue) or the paper itself. If it's the paper , can I return it even after I used 6 sheets? I do have my receipt still.

Just run the Sticky pad under water and let dry, Voila! I cut mine yp and use for many things like keeping your light pad steady on my table. Anybody know if they still make the "Kit and Kabbootal" that were popular in the 80's?

Make Markets' round drill kits are rather fun to work on. They are pared down and not fussy. The drills rarely, if ever, have static. My biggest gripe would be the red print tho. It can mess with your eyes after a while. It would be interesting if you completed the capybara kit and gave your review. As far as the tool box goes, it would have been nicer if they charged a bit more and upgraded some of the accessories rather than including stock accessories. Like, instead of the 5 pens/squishies, include an upgraded resin pen. Instead of those 3 trays, include 1 upgraded tray with a lid.

There is no exposed glue on the bookmarks! One of the really cool things I noticed about the Christmas bookmark kit I did from them was that they actually didn’t put glue on the WHOLE bookmark. Instead, they put dots of glue right where the diamonds were supposed to go. Even more impressive to me, they managed to line up the glue and the dots perfectly! So I didn’t seal mine in the end. But then again I also used mine as Christmas ornaments so 🤪

I would love for Michael's to switch to resin drills! I love their kits, and Red door in squares (one of the Christmas kits) looks pretty nice and I hadn't tons of thrash. One of my kids adore capybaras, but our Michael's doesn't have them. Maybe later, I hope. It's tiny and I would love to work on it, regardless of drills

The clips may be used for rolling up and placing on the sides? Hard to explain. I do this sometimes when I have a really big canvas. Like putting in rollers in your hair?

Those sticky pad things just rinse dirt off under luck warm water and just a bit of a rub. Lay flat in your drain tray to dry.
