Do NOT uncap framerate, if the framerate is fluctuating between high numbers it will tear a lot and look like lag. Cap it at a value a multiple above your refresh rate if you have it. For instance if your monitor is at 60HZ doing 120fps, or 240fps will give you a smoother 60HZ experience, but an uncapped constantly fluctuating framerate will look like absolute shit

tbh you don't need more than 120 FPS in any game, speeds higher than this are imperceptible. Disabling the cap can burnout your hardware, so I'd recommend not doing these optimizations regardless.

​​​@@ianrust3785 Especially since it's not purposeful. League's servers are hard set to update data at 30 fps. This is also why there's a desync on predictive movement; the client side might be updating at 250 fps but the server only updates at 30 regardless. Anything over 30 is entirely cosmetic and client-side and makes no difference at all when playing. It was an intentional and specific choice by Riot to avoid the specific "competitive advantage" being pushed here. The channel is generally good, but this was completely wrong.

It's actually good to keep voice volume on because I've found that you can hear enemy champion voices through fog of war even if they never show on a ward, I think this is a bug that has been in the game for a very long time so I just consider it a feature now and it's a great way to avoid ganks sometimes :)

For any of you who is like me and struggles to kite with A key. I recommended this, go to "Hotkey" menu scroll to the bottom and on "advance keybinding options" enable "bind auto attack move to left click". The only drawback is when you leftclick on the minimap your character moves, it is mitigated by holding CTRL then left click. but this one option made a huge difference for me, in terms of csing, kiting and stuff.

Just gonna put this here because it’s info that is missing and makes one of the tips very confusing. The “show attack range” option ONLY works on the “attack move” hot key. So if you have it enabled and use regular right click or even attack move click you won’t see the indicator. So make sure you know what that hot key is/have it bound to a key you prefer.

I think they changed it, enter in training mode and put an enemy among the acuaminas, them toggle target champions only and press a and left click near the enemy but not precise over it (even if the mouse is over the acuamina but near the enemy), you'll notice that the hit will target the champion as expected!

One thing that killed me a lot of times is minimap movements. I play adc a lot and when accidentally click on the edge of the minimap, my caracter starts to walk to top... Well with this option off I can't just click on the minimap and go to lane for example, but its not a big problem since you can just left click on it then click on the ground like usual.

Hey ! You are partially right, but increasing the frame rate can actually reduce latency in games, even if your screen can't display all those extra frames. This is because a higher frame rate means the input you make is processed and displayed faster, resulting in a smoother and more responsive gaming experience, mostly by making your cursor control smoother. For example I only gota 60hz screen but I like having my fps set to 120/240 max in competitive games, even it tires my computer a bit more. FPS above the refresh rate of the monitor still matters. By having more frames, your computer has a larger range of frames to display on each refresh rate tick. This means that it can pick more and more accurate frames depending on how many frames are available to it.

Honestly I find that mouse drag scrolling helps keep the cursor on my champ for movement and side-stepping so I'd say people should treat it as preference. It's also easier to fine tune camera positioning.

This guide is incredible actually. Thank you. One thing I would add is buy a mouse with extra buttons (LogiTech G502 Hero.) This is pay to win freelo. Bind the ` button a side button on the mouse, and treat champion attack only as a toggle. When you tower dive or fight enemies in a minion wave, click the mouse button you have set as ` and you won't accidentally click a minion or the tower. This is an absolute must for junglers, and instantly gave me LP. I use the other mouse side buttons for 2 and 3 keys for activatable items, like Zhonya's, support item ward, Rocketbelt, etc. One more tip I have is to pin the potions/wards and boots part of the shop, so you don't have to hover that area to reveal it. It'll always be pinned open.

Setting the refresh rate in the Nvidia control panel has no impact on the refresh rate observed in game. The game will switch the display to accept its max refresh rate. That's why the screen blinks and stutters when you alt-tab in and out of full screen games. If you play League in Windowed or Borderless, that setting does determine the refresh rate of the monitor though.

I gave the high dpi scaling override option a try and it actually dropped my frames down (from around 350 to 180 with maxed visuals). I have an rtx 3090 so i don't have fps issues regardless, I reverted it back to the default. I'm running a 3440x1440p ultra wide 34" monitor so perhaps its better to let Nvidia take over the dpi scaling rather than (overriding) handing the reigns over to the application to handle it.

Id like to point out that the difference between 350 and 500 fps is completely unnoticable 😂 Also, League is hard set to update data at 30fps to accout for this specifically. That is also why there is a de-sync for movement prediction. Because the client side is updating more often than the server.

As long as you're getting 30, you're at full competitive parity and at 30, the movement prediction and actual movement are perfectly synced, at least for client/server League. And it's occurred in other games, it's a well known problem actually. GPUs running at max can certainly overheat, maybe not on your machine, but there's tons of diversity in machines, in cooling setups and in GPU card quality, you're speaking as if your specific machines setup is somehow generalizable to the whole population. When millions of people are playing a game 1% is a huge number of people. And even if your GPU doesn't immediately die, excess heat will cause it to die faster... I use this setting, and while I think it's worth running if main ranged auto-attackers, it's definitely full of bugs. Shift click will allow you to get past a lot of the broken interactions, like how wards and items which aren't quick-cast wont activate on left click, but they will with shift click. You can also use shift-click to move the minimap around without also attack moving to that spot, but you can also change the setting to disable minimap movement and left click all you want, but now you have to click to a location on the minimap, and then right click on the ground after moving your camera, which is still better than accidentally starting to walk out of lane because you wanted to see what was happening elsewhere on the map

If you want to keep it at uncapped you have to turn on v-sync to which essentially just caps it down to your monitor's refresh rate. But I think bc V-sync is technically "waiting" for the frame to be served there can be some very small micro delays compared to just hard capping the fps.

FYI Framerate of the game does NOT equal the refresh rate of your computer monitor. Your monitor likely has a 60, 120, or 144hz refresh rate (unless you dropped some serious cash in which case you already know all this), so going above that with your in-game FPS is only going to do one thing: make the game look smoother. It will help some, but honestly there is no point in having 500FPS when your monitor is at 120hz. Best practice is to shoot for 150% of your MONITOR refresh rate. After that, you don't get any tangible returns.

Your laptop display might have been rendered with the nvidia GPU but passed through the iGPU before hitting your screen (if your laptop does not have a MUX switch to change that) so you might want to use the intel/amd iGPU graphics centers to change those settings instead.

I'd love to stop playing on locked camera but unfortuantely I can't, not cuz I'm lazy and don't want to readjust, I tried but I recently found out that I have something called Cyber Sickness, it's similar to motion sickness but it's about movements on screen, for example I cannot play any game with motion blur or head bobbing cuz I'm starting to feel sick, as if I was going to throw up just cuz of some odd movement on the screen. If you are above 100 FPS already no need to lower quality. Enjoy the game! Your ping and lag will first affect your gameplay before video settings matter unless you are below 60.

That's literally the worst setting as an adc with the amount of times you will accidentally break a freeze by attacking a minion. And then with champs like jhin and aphelios where you have ammo management added it can literally fuck up everything for you. Big no no

Uncapped fps in league isn't optimised locking it to 144 is the best option.

so i disabled fullscreen optimisation and now i can't even alt-tab normally. Then i alt tab on the game any clicks will trigger the game to fold in the tray

Buddy boy, I intentionally put my minimap as big as possible so I see it more often xD. Fuck those small increases in vision on my screen, if something there is fucking me over, I was positioned wrong on the map anyways.

I will never understand how people can play with environment graphics on very low. It looks so bad to play on. Just feels like watching yt in low resolution.

Personally I prefer environment settings on low (but not super low) because the lesser detail of the map makes me less distracted. Same for eye candy off and shadows off. Model needs to be AT LEAST high for me and effects should always be ultra high if possible though.

Same here, using the “Wait for vertical sync” (v sync) option eliminates the stutters, but caps the FPS back at 240, at least that’s my experience!

@@How__ Bro, nah. Never use the in game vsync. Always turn it off. If you must have v-sync enabled, keep it enabled in Nvidia Control Panel.

Im not sure what it is but i can run league highest settings 144 fps capped no problem, any change to settings etc wont let me get higher fps tho eventho i uncap? how come does anyone have an idea
