Nice straightforward review. I have a 2024 fully loaded SV 4x4 long bed. 2024 Pro 4X only came with a 5 foot bed. Show stopper for me. The truck has a great ride with a quiet interior. Very nice. The engine and drivetrain are effortless and silky smooth. Currently have 13.5K on the clock and couldn't be happier with the truck. Solid build quality with no squeaks or rattles. Rear seat leg room and comfort are adequate for a mid-size truck. Move the front seats up a couple of 2 or 3 inches and everyone is happy. No complaints from my rear seat passengers. Mine gets great highway gas mileage. About 30mpg. That was a nice surprise. My previous truck was a 2012 Frontier. That truck was utilitarian compared to the new generation Frontier but was bulletproof for 160K miles. I had the big Chevy's before but no longer needed a full size truck, so I went with the Frontiers and they've been great trucks.

I was planning on purchasing sooner but had one of life's little setbacks, but I'll recover. Thanks for the info. I'm sold on the Nissan Frontiers best bang for the buck, and their very reliable and glad they haven't messed with the engines their pretty bulletproof from what I read. Take care and Happy New Year

I also have owned Ford, Ram, Chevy and even a 1984 Datsun truck back in the day and had an idea to buy a Toyota truck until I looked at all the issues they are having. The Frontier IMHO is a great truck and is often overlooked in the crowd. If I had to replace it I'd definitely buy another one. Mine is a 23 Pro 4X. Nice looking truck btw.

Had a Toyota that was a great truck but had no options. My favorite option now is remote start. Heated seats and steering wheel are nice two. Just got back from Florida and really enjoyed the driving ability and the comfort of seats. Recommend

Just needed a run of the mill truck to do trucky stuff for a year 18k later including a trans am, off roading, camping trips, and lots of heavy hauling, absolutely amazed by all his stellar performances, hard to convince myself to trade it in for a car (I just need to commute, truck is now overkill) that says a lot about the Frontier coming from a dude that is not a truck enthusiast

Great review, Buddy! I really appreciate the indepth look at the suspension. I lease a 2023 S and while the truck wass a good truck, the build quality was absolutely horrible, But it was also built during covid. Never had any mechanical issues with, just major issues with the paint and very questionable welds and horrible panels gaps. But it rode extremely well and did everything that I asked of it. My absolute number one bitch was because of those stupid handles on the front of the center console. They hit my right knee at the perfect spot that just drives me nuts and makes for an uncomfortable drive for me.

@Steveoreno
@Steveoreno 3 ай бұрын
@@sumdude2247 The cap (or "Topper" as some people call it) is an A.R.E fiberglass unit painted to match the truck...I've never owned a truck without one....I store a lot of fishing gear back there. It will be installed later this week or the following week. You are correct in that the shielding on the underside of the SV is not what you would find on a Pro4x so that can easily be added.

tilt steering wheel is an issue for taller people with long legs. The more I put the seat back that means I have to lean forward towards steering wheel. Resulting in lower back pain. Im glad they put it on the 25. Plus a reoccurring them in the Frontier is it is missing common things that are available in competitors trucks at the same price point.

I was looking for a SUV with good 4x4 options with NA V6 and good auto transmission. None out there. I just needed solid comfortable 4x4 ride with rear locker in case I needed due to weather. The only option was Jeep but its focused more for off roading than overall comfort. I also looked at the Broncos but the quality, choice of engine, and various issues was a deal breaker for me. Toyota?… out of question. Won’t even bother talk about it. I got the 24 frontier. Its like an SUV and the 5’ bed is perfect for anything cargo. The 6’ bed would be too long for me. With 5’ bed the truck fills the niche of SUV with nice cargo area. About that heavier steering? I love it. You appreciate hydraulic steering on hwy. the steering is solid unlike the electronic steering when you barely touch the wheel and car/truck start wiggling side to side. The 24 frontier was the only choice for me. No regrets.

I am planning on doing a review of those tires, I have about 1500 hundred miles on them so far and I really like them. I try and do research on anything I buy, and these tires are probably the best tires that nobody has ever heard of. Nokian is an old company, they have been around for over 100 years in Finland [ they are credited for making the first snow tire ] , but they have a factory in Tennessee that makes all there North American tires. These Tires are very quiet on the road and pull really good in mud, sand and gravel. I would highly recommend them. Plus are very affordable. My decibel reading was 74 -75 with these tires and 73 on the old Hankook stock tires.

I think it's a good-looking truck, raised on toyota, but have had a couple of rangers , one frontier . Back then, toyota was the reliability standard made in Japan, the best imo. Manufacturers should wait a few more years before they do a major design change . I only hope Nissan keeps the looks and drive train of this truck and change what the buyers are saying the issue it may have , from what I've seen on reviews are not many to make this a perfect midsized truck . For me, it's reliability period number one thing over everything else . I'm going to take a look at this truck now after many reviews I've seen here on YT that I would not have before... Toyota lost me with what they had done recently. They only toyota truck I will buy is and old one....

@@Kurt-n4i I’m 6’2 and never had a problem with it. The biggest complaint I have is the location of the power seat adjusters in the 22 and 23 models. Your leg hits the one for the back of the seat when you get out causing it to recline a little bit every time you get out. I noticed they redesigned it for 24 and there is a recessed spot where the switches are now.

Yes still liking it, almost too much. I don't usually put a lot of miles on my trucks but this frontier is just fun to drive. No issues so far, runs great and gas mileage is still good even with the bigger tires

I got the lift kit on sale from a Nissan dealer in Washington state and had most of it installed at my local dealer, all an all I think it cost me 2900. Not all Nissan Dealers charge the same for Nismo Products, so it pays to shop around

Love my 2024 P4X, what are your thoughts on the tranmission? I like it overall but I feel that the trans does not like stop and go traffic or lower gears, especailyl going from 2nd to 1st, any thoughts on that?

I really haven't noticed that, I do notice a little throttle lag, that might be what your feeling. The transmission is highly proven and made by a company with a long standing record

Do you have an instagram account with more pics, would love to see the stance with the lift kit. I have a 2012 pro 4x and am about to upgrade to the new version and want to lift it I’m just not a fan of leveling I prefer the factory stance.

Truck looks great with the red pin strips. And lifted. My wife wants a 4 door truck.. a ram.. i said nope.. and explained why. So i got.her talked into this frontier or the Titan. Trim on either will be 4x pro. I really want the frontier for light trail riding and cost. She wants the titian for bigger is more comfy especially in back seats.. she will make the final decision. It will be hers.. im.lucky i talked her out of the ram. My bank account is thanking me. I love the old school of both the nissian trucks. Do you. Have any thoughts on the Titian? I bet u looked at it along with this? Any info from a real dude is appreciated. Most reviews on here r paid commercials. Ive been watching videos on here for 2 weeks. And your video just now pops up. Utube searching is trash. Thanks

I did not look at the Titan, [had an f150 before the frontier} but I know people that have them, and they do not get very good gas mileage but are dependable [ this is last year of titan]. The inside of the frontier feels bigger than it is, no regrets so far on truck. The biggest selling point for me is the non-turbo V6 and the price for what you get. It's definitely old school which I like, with just enough tech and safety features that I wanted with the ability to turn off the tech that I did not want or use. The ride is great even with lift kit, I see no difference in ride from stock other than it feels more solid. I do use my truck in the woods on my hunting lease here in Florida, so I know what it will do and what I won't do with it, but so far from sugar sand roads to thick mud it has handled it all.

I had a 2016 Silverado z71 off road 5.3 v8 that I got brand new in October 2016, had transmission issues with it practically from day 1, after almost 6 years and countless trips to the dealership getting the transmission serviced, including rebuilt twice, I traded it for a 2022 colorado, v6, it's not 4x4, but, tow package with 7000 lbs towing capacity, no cylinder deactivation bullshit or start stop bullshit, I'm liking it a lot, plenty of power, excellent gas mileage,

I almost ordered a new Colorado ZR2 but it's never a good idea to order a first year truck, with that being said they were having several problems when they first came out but I ultimately went with the Frontier. That v6 motor is hard to beat and its been around for a while now with no issues
