Hallelujah! Might see you at Donny, Anglesey, Silverstone and possibly Mallory (not sure who’s on track at Mallory given its a one day event) this year. I might even make it back to the paddock to say hi at some point. Good luck.

Great wet race performance Ben! sorry to hear about the CV joint issues. I know with the EK Civics, the best Front Subframe for reducing CV Joint angle damage is tthe EG one. Have you figured out what is causing the failures?
@BenR224 жыл бұрын
I break one cv a year, so probably just the life of the item. Need to get something stronger tbh.

Love your videos Ben! What power does your car make and how much does it weigh?
@BenR224 жыл бұрын
Thanks Adam! It's 1050kg and 259bhp. We are limited to 260/ton in my class of racing.
@jamielaw97984 жыл бұрын
great drive.. but why most of the cars not as good a spec as yours? its like a guaranteed win for u
@BenR224 жыл бұрын
The championship has 3 classes in it. Class C is 145bhp/ton, class B is 200bhp/ton and class A is 260bhp/ton. I am in class A. Spec is important but it's more important to have the car working holistically and intelligently. In my class my car is neither the most powerful, or the lightest. I run the same tyres as other competitors, I run the same basic chassis as other competitors (Honda civic/integra with the same double wishbone and multilink rear trailing arm). But it's how you get it all working. This particular race there were only 4 or so competitors in my own class as it was one of the last races of the season and I had all but sewn up the championship so they tend not to bother coming. I was also probably the only person concentrating on searching the best wet line. And I'm sure you might of Noticed, hardly anybody was even using it. So, it's all the effort you put into the small details that find lots and lots of time and speed which total up to quite a huge overall difference.
@gavinivers89414 жыл бұрын
Well Done. Hondas always break the left/passages side CVs. Best carry a spare left driveshaft in your spares.
@BenR224 жыл бұрын
Tell me about it. I normally carry 2! But this round I pared down my spares and didn't bring any as none broke all season!
@jamestruong9944 жыл бұрын
Is your car more powerful then the rest of the field or you just that great of a driver? You went from the back to leading the race in no time. I love it and keep up the good work
@andyowens54944 жыл бұрын
James Truong Judging by the overtake points, mostly better driving, brakes/balance and tyres rather than power. Even the overtakes under acceleration are mainly due to coming out of corners faster. He’s definitely got talent beyond the series he’s racing in.
@BenR224 жыл бұрын
There are 3 classes in the championship, so yes, I'm not directly competing with a lot of the field. In my class it's usually the top 6 in the top class.

@BenR224 жыл бұрын
Thanks ollie, I've actually seen dj plenty before, but unfortunately our regulations are so restricted that whilst a wing helps settle the rear, I can't apportion that much of the budget to just the wing. I'm not sure what the dividends would be.

@@edwardwhitehouse4391 done a round of TA and it was pretty boring, frustrating and non inclusive. It's way overpriced for what it achieves, in the UK anyway. You might see me venture into deeper waters.
