Another awesome video. I've watched all of them. I've brought a 2.8 m so my fishing bucket list starts all over again.

Its an amazing system that one... as a kid I used to fish off the jetty a lot! Mostly for tailor in winter... I remember one day I had a half pilchard out and wasn’t getting touched... a boat wanted to come in and pick up a few people from the jetty so I cranked it back in to get my line out the way for them... almost all the way back in I saw a dark shape following the bait! The people waiting for the boat saw it too and signalled to the boat to stay back... I then proceeded to watch in amazement as a legal sized yellow tail king fish circled the bait at our feet before swallowing it and taking off! An epic battle on my kids combo ensued but I managed to get it in... we ate well that night haha would have been almost 20 years ago now...

Luke's Kayak Fishing Adventures have locals tell me stories about catching kingfish and Mackeral years ago. That would have been amazing. Enjoy your videos, especially the mangrove jack videos. I intend on catching my first jack this summer. Well at least I hope to. I own a 12’ pro angler that is perfect in snapper creek, hopefully I can catch a queen fish like yours.

There’s plenty of jack in there too but they are a pain to catch at the best of times... just keep belting the mangroves with weedless paddletails and sooner or later it’ll happen for you!

Luke's Kayak Fishing Adventures went out this afternoon trying for a jack, and I’m 90% certain a jack busted me in seconds. Was extremely pissed off, but will try again. Won’t be using 15lb leader next time.

Bahaha yep that’s jack! 30lb leader and lock your drag next time!

Great fish mate, I've been to TCB a few times but never fished it. Do you see this often at TCB, or was it a one off?

First in my experience but have been told they frequent there... Havn't fished it much from the kayak but I caught my first King fish off the jetty there 10 odd years ago!

Is there any good land based spots around tin can
@TheBrisbaneRiverBoys6 жыл бұрын
Been a fair few years since I was land based there but off the pontoon in snapper creek I’ve caught yellow tail king fish and plenty of tailor in the cooler months... on a low tide there’s a big sand spot that’s a good place to look for a flatty or whiting
