Bon-Odori is the summer event not to be missed in Japan
It is a popular folk art, created about 600 years ago.
His style varies in the different regions of Japan
It is the feast of souls called O-Bon. Good (the o placed in front of the name is an honorary term) or urabon, Japanese translation of the Sanskrit term Ullamabana, meaning "terrible affliction."
During the O-bon period, people dance and make offerings to allow the dead to reduce the pain of their wandering souls. The Japanese think that during this period the deceased comes back to life.
