76 Corvette Restomod Pt 314 Torque Thrust II Wheels and new tires

This project is now officially a 1976 Corvette RestoMod. Parts 1-49 were called a Refresh. I most likely will be doing upgrades to the engine, steering, suspension, transmission, cooling system and air conditioning. Other upgrades may be considered as the project moves along.

I really doubt they made the indention in the wheels just for your spacers to fit. It’s probably weight saving designs Is all. And it’s done in all wheels. But glad you got it hub centric as well as stud centric. Great video. Keep em coming.

You got the brake rotor on the rear wrong,the E-brake adjuster hole is blocked.Its a very common mistake.

i see what you mean but I marked where it was when I removed it so that I could put it on in the same orientation. My intent was to keep runout within spec and when I measured runout it was within spec so I'm not changing it.

@@fun-cars So how are you going to adjust the E-brake?

@@iceman10618 I expanded the parking brake shoes so that the rotor would just fit over them when I was installing the rotor. Since the parking brake is only used to hold the car in place once it is stopped the brake shoes don't really wear like pads or shoes that are used to stop the car. There is also the ability to tighten the cable that is attached to the parking brake lever. I can tighten that up if necessary. Lastly,, in a worst case scenario I can remove the caliper and rotor to make an adjustment.
