When I replace a microwave I keep the glass turntable from inside and use it as a lazy Susan. It’s stronger than a plastic one and holds more weight. Since it’s glass you don’t have to be worried about finding one that matches or compliments the colors or style in the room.

I use denture tablets to clean the toilets. Just drop 1-2 in, depending on the difficulty of the stains, and leave overnight. Next morning, just swish the toilet brush around and flush!!!😂

Love the hacks! One hack for the planter to keep the soil from coming out of the drainage holes is to either put a flat rock over each hole or a piece of garden mesh.

✨Upcycled globe is great‼️By placing a piece of paper towel in before your soil (for succulents, so that it has more sand than usual potting soil) your soil won’t come out when you add water✨The Amazon search tip is wonderful ‼️The fan switch is explained in EVERY manual for EVERY fan…didn’t know people didn’t know to switch this🤪 yes, the tabs on the wrap ends work great😊 Tip for removing labels…just use a blow dryer to heat up…label peals right off with no residue ✅

I use denture tabs for stain removal on localized areas, meaning I want to only clean a portion of the item. For dye bleeding fading ect. I get the item wet as hot as the fabric allows . I then add a dab of any cheap toothpaste ( i get on sale, brand doesn’t matter) to the fabric. I use the denture tab to gently massage th the toothpaste into the fabric. Then have to WALK AWAY!!! for a few minutes. I give it another scrub and rinse til it runs clear. It works great on stains that cause problems.

Instead of buying specialty racks to store my pans and lids I use the wire and/or plastic book and paper organizers left over from my years of teaching. They are great for pots and pans, baking dishes, cookie sheets, cake pans, pie pans, cooling racks. I also use a mail organizer for smaller items.

I bought some antique Mother of Pearl and glass buttons that I wanted to display in my sewing room. I soaked the buttons in a bowl with denture cleaner, and they are PERFECT! This also works on mother of pearl carved jewelry, or trinkets. (Warning: don't use denture cleaner on ivory, or the fake ivory, tagua nut. It will destroy it.)

I think it’s hack number 12, the keep your fruit and vegetables cold all day you hack is a definitely work. I do it at all of my office events when I have fruit, trays salad, plates, cold pasta I have the type aluminum pans I put ice in the bottom or I put a little ice and water a little bit of water because you don’t wanna melt your ice and then stick my pasta on top of that salad on top of that as far as fruit. It’s just ice and stick my fruit on top of it now, for a picnic outside here’s one more hack same idea except instead of it being ice cubes you’re going to take and you’re gonna put maybe an eighth or fourth of water in your pan or maybe not quite half depending on how deep your pans are and you’re going to freeze that water in the pan then the next day you’re gonna pull out your ice and you’re going to get your fruit and you’re gonna stick it down in it I recommend if you have a pan that will fit insulated carrying bag rabbit with foil really good over the top your fruit put your fruit in the frozen ice pan stick it in the insulated bag take it to your party. The insulated bag will help. Keep the ice frozen while traveling. Or getting ready for the event. Then when you’re ready to put it out on the table, you pull it out unwrap the foil off the top of the fruit I should remark when I’m taking something like this to an event outside I saran wrap, then put full all over the top of my food because you want the foil to put on the bottom side of the ice pan, it helps to insulate and keep it frozen. Again same concept just frozen water versus ice cubes.

I used to move around alot when I was in the U.S.M.C (retired), when packing, I put my bottles in zip lock bags, or when I went to the field (camping) each day's clothes would go into a zip lock bag, and when it's dirty, put it back in the bag so it doesn't attract critters

The rice trick isn't really "sharpening" the knife. It's actually "honing" the edge of the blade. It's the same principle as using a steel rod. It basically knocks the edge back into shape.

Most of these are common sense except for the ones that make no sense. Waste food to display plastic greenery? And the box the trash bags come in is already designed to come out without buying a plastic box. And you didn't know about changing directions on your ceiling fan? Nah .... Most of these "hacks" are a no for me
@darlaburnett86665 ай бұрын
Number 22 just folding your tape over has been around for years. Do we just not pay attention to our parents because surely one as old as you are and as long as it’s around, you’ve never seen your mom or aunt or your dad? As far as hack 23 with the ceiling fan, OK this goes to show that we do not read instructions because it’s on the ceiling fan box. If you read it it is nothing new, nothing! I’m wondering, since it was so new to you you must live in a state where stays hot all the time so it doesn’t make a difference whether not you switch that toggle! Because I feel like as old as you are and as much as you educate people on KZbin that you already knew about this particular it’s not a hack. It’s a function. I’m the ceiling fan.🤔
