Nice tutorial. Looks like a good way to make a shallow bowl….. but question: you pull/throw side walls, which thins them - does this not result in uneven ratio of wall thickness of [sides:floor]? I don’t understand. Thank you.

I intentionally left the slab a bit thicker than I normally do. I was planning to trim the foot on this piece.

I seldom weight my clay, especially for slab projects. You can roll the slab wider then trim the excess off.

If I wanted to make a pot 10cm in height and 30cm in diameter slightly slanting out would I need the slab to be more than 1/2” so I can get the height? Thank you

If you are planning to trim a foot than you can use thicker slab, otherwise normal thickness should be ok to achieve the dimensions.
