back pain and degenerative disc problems, I'm in the same boat, trying to do PT but also other symptoms (numbness in my toes). Joyce and I are have also meant to replace our sofa for ages. 1 problem though that sucks is the furniture stores don't pick up your old sofa anymore, or in rare cases like Slumberland will do it, but will charge an extra up to $200 to do so, lol. 10 years ago when Joyce's mom bought new furniture from Doc 86, it was free. But, that's the economy now ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
