I'm sick of all the athiest comments i see about people hating on metal just because its of christian genre, does it matter? every person has certain taste in music, and so many ppl i see saying wheres the proof that god exists. life is what u make it. I doubt i would still be alive if it wasnt for his mercy and love, he works miracles everyday, his son died on the cross for our sins if it wasnt for that we wouldnt be here, he forgives us for everything and we can come to him with anything

Try looking up the names of the bands on metal-archives and you'll be able to read the lyrics of their songs as well as find out what their lyrical themes are. Ex: Mortification - Christianity, destruction of evil and heavy metal. I hope this helps you out.

You are correct "apostasy" DOES mean a renunciation of faith. However, "apostisy" means absolutely nothing because it is apostasy misspelled. So, in essence it is a "Christian" band with a name that means a renunciation of religious faith.

It's a Christian band. According to an interview I found, but can't seem to link: JesusMetal: Apostisy, what exactly does it mean ? Stokkland: Apostisy is a term derived from the Ancient Greek word Apostasy. Apostasy means to fall away from something, typically referring to falling away from God. I changed the verb from a past tense to an event that will come in the near future, referring to the time when God will take us from this planet. Ya'll can probably google that to find the page.

Then what makes them priests, what gives them the authority to "translate" the word of God? Why does God not stop them for their transgressions, instead of letting them further corrupt society? What is the point of an omniscient (all knowing) God, sending his only son to die for the sin's of people that he knew would not change anyways? If anything the amount of sin in the world has multiplied, along with our population levels. Why would I thank "God" for not punishing those who deserve it?
