Interesting, I have a Boomer 3050 which has similar original lights. Your LED lights really light of the front and back areas well. For some work at night though it looks like you might need more light to the side.

Oh very cool. You are right about light directly off the sides. For me I think this will be enough as 99% of the time my night activities will be plowing snow or grading the road(s). I wish mine had an overhead light that turned on when you opened up the door. I guess that and delayed wipers will be my next projects. How long have you had your 3050 and how do you like it?

Can you tell or show what mounting hardware you used and the length of the led bar?

I have traded in this Boomer 40 for a Boomer 45 and will be adding a light bar as before. However this one will fit between the existing work lights. This way the bar will be used for the frontal view while the two work lights will be turned off to the sides slightly. On the Boomer 40 I removed the OEM work lights and used the existing brackets to mount the bar. When I mount the new bar I will make sure I get a close up of the mounting.

Thank you! Okay I’m going to attempt the same on my boomer 40!

@@joshuatobin4415 Just be aware, that IMO, these common bar lights (even the flood & beam combo types like the one I used) ended up looking somewhat too front focused leaving the front-sides somewhat dim. That is why on this one I got a shorter bar that will fit between the work lights.

Where did you get the toolbox on the side from? I've been looking for one, although I came to this video because I am planning on switching my lights over to led.

What light bar brand and model did you buy? looking to do the same.

I rolled the dice and took a chance when I bought a pair of no-brand Asian lights off e-bay. I wanted a combo flood/spot light and got these. The middle is spot the sides are flood.

Would you jump to a 50? I am considering a 55 as my landscape/ little chore tractor, around my 20 acres, so running log splitters, chain harrows, light work like tedders and windrowing for my T4.65 as my main machine. 1000kg + lift appeals, get my a 2nd tractor rather than buying a skid steer.

I guess it would depend on the price difference and the difference in options. For me the extra power is not needed as the 40 does everything I need it to. Having said that, if the 50 had bigger & wider front tires along with a wider wheel base then I would be interested. Plus I understand that the 2020 models do have some extra bells & whistles like a rear controlled 3-point. My major complaint about my 40 are the dinky (toy like) front tires and too narrow tire spacing. I wish I could turn the wheels out or something to at least widen the stance. It can get pretty tipsy real fast with a 72" bucket filled with 1500 pounds of stuff lifted up on even a slightly uneven terrain.
