Hey Gord, nice shoulder season video. A couple more outdoor projects to finish up myself this coming week before winter settles in. I have to thank you for the recommendation of the Gardepro camera. I was looking for something without a monthly subscription and easy access to the pictures. I figured if my tactacam had WiFi connection to allow you to see camera positioning, why not download content off the card. I bought the same camera as you with the solar panel and lithium battery pack. I wanted it as a second camera for hunting but have set it up in the yard to test it. So far its been really good and the quality of the images are nice. Thanks for the recommendation!

If I had to lean over the trailers to cut wood like you did my back would be hurting so bad the next day. You young guys have all the fun. But sitting in a deer blind I can do that. That was some good slab wood though. When I was a kid we'd get a semi dump truck full from the local lumber yard in Wheatley because that was what we could afford and cut it up for the winter. Kept the house warm. And that's all that counts. Lord, how I miss those days.

A Beautiful area Gord. You and Guy make an Awesome team working together. Nice looking Slab Wood, for Firewood. I am just getting back into it as I had a Heart Attack last month. So I am Allowed to do no more than 2hrs a Day every other Day. Feel Fairly good now that I am back at it. I had know one to help me out for the Past month or more. My neighbor up the Street Had Open Heart Surgery last December at Christmas time and helped him and Wife out for 2months with Wood and More. But the Idea of Helping My Neighbor out still stands strong. Stay Well you And Guy. Always great to see your Video's my Friend. Ron from the Woodyard in Duanesburg NY.

There are gun shots all year round around here. People just like to shoot. Have a different set up this year since I don't have to work out of my small shed now.😅

Back when there were some little pecker wood mills around,, they would give you all the slab wood you wanted or they had to burn it. I cant begin to tell you how many winters I burned nothing but slab wood, and never knocked a tree down or fired up the splitter. Sure do miss those days,, Stay safe boys

Back in the day, I camped often with my kids and buddies. This time of the year was a concern. We wore hunter orange. But, the sportsman hunter wasn’t the concern. The hillbilly poacher who fired at russling in the brush was a concern. I enjoyed the video.

Guy sure came up with a new firewood processing rig in a short order. Worked out well for you two to clear up that pile of off sawn slabs into perfectly good firewood for the boiler. Thanks for sharing with us Gord. It's looking really good up there and cooling down for the white sheets to start. Stay safe and keep up the good works around there and tell the family "Hi" from me. Laying on a not wet ground or freezing your fingers should be incentive to get your to do list done. Cheers and take care

Hey GP, I was just wondering something about keeping your equipment out in the weather. Would you be able to set up like one of those HF portable car ports, I mean its not attached to the house or permanently installed. That shouldnt be a problem with the local gubermint :)

What's unsettling about gunshots in the morning, during deer season? Them freezers aren't going to fill themselves! Just as wood is a great renewable resource to help keep us warm, venison is the same thing as a food source. Being closer to nature is good in many different ways.

Unsettling to hear gunshots? Is it not hunting season?
@GPOutdoors2 ай бұрын
It sure is. But man, sometimes it sounds like they are right behind my cabin. Have a great weekend!
@badgerlandturf2 ай бұрын
I had to chuckle at the gunshot comment also. When my wife and I were finishing up our ministry work in the urban core of Kansas City, nightly gunshots of 20-40 rounds was commonplace. The final straw that made us move was when one came through the house while we were watching the news. Now it’s only during hunting season here in the country… Those scraps will burn just like those ugly ones!
