Thanks dude. There is so much bullshit about these calipers on the forums that a guy could print it out and fertilize a 400 acre farm. It is really refreshing to see someone actually take one apart and demonstrate how it works. I will post a links whenever I can.

benny kimchi Thank You for the in-depth explanation on these OVERLY TECHNICAL calipers! I have an 85’ Buick Riviera and it has the Hydroboost and 4 disc brakes. Is it possible to use the ebrake lever to engage the piston in the Caliper without bleeding the brakes?????

Great videos and very helpful, thank you. I had the same issue with non-op handbrake on new rear caliper kit. Took my calipers apart and found in my case , the bearing cage inside the piston mechanism was incorrectly manufactured. The roller bearing cage in my case consisted of 12 roller bearings instead of Benny's 3 balls. The stainless "cage" was crimped between each ball in my case to hold the balls in place. However, in my calipers they incorrectly crimped the "cage" too close to the ball and none of them were able to roll. I used a screwdriver to enable the balls to rotate freely.

I have a similar mechanism in my Impala but can't remove the last piece, bashing it through that hole and it won't budge. Any ideas?

Hello everyone. I just wanted to correct something, there are 2 flat washers that go either side of the roller bearing. 1 on the spring then the bearing then the other before you put the cage back over. I had placed it with the caliper and forgot about it. My mistake..hahaha. Anyways, I'll do a video on how to put it back together next time for you guys and hope that it helps. If there are any pointers or advise that could be shared then please do. I'm always interested in learning about this jazz. Thank you for watching. =)
