Ok Dan, I bought a beautiful all black 94 Fleetwood in Cleveland Oh. I drove it home to South Carolina with no real problems around 750 miles through the mountains. About two weeks later the muffler blew out. I jacked the car up to check the situation and the amount of rust and the missing floor, and broken cracked components was just overwhelming. I stripped the car down for parts and left it on jack stands. The frame broke in half where the body bolts down in the engine bay.....started building a 93 Fleetwood with a bent frame that is all black also.

Tip to prevent rust between layers of metal is weld thru primer then the layer are safe

Look into weld thru primer . I use it on all mine .
@brianperkins49982 жыл бұрын
Can you explain how you welded the metal to the frame. Are you butting the pieces up to each other or are you leaving like 1/16 of an inch to weld to the frame too
@thecadillacdanshow86582 жыл бұрын
I bevel each peice and leave a little gap for the weld to penetrate

@@thecadillacdanshow8658 I'm about to buy a 1985 coupe. Can you cut a stress point kit, a bridge kit, and an A-arm kit? If so, how much?
@thecadillacdanshow86582 жыл бұрын
I can depending on what you all want I can do a front partial (outside frame in wheel openings, spring pockets front and bottom of belly) rear arches, bridge with spring pockets and chain mounts c channel for the top of the axle and upper and lower a arm kit for 1400 plush shipping I would estimate shipping around 100 bucks if you are interested hit me up on Facebook messager under Cadillac Dan

Thanks for the video. What thickness sheet are you using? Also how did you relocate the bridge and the shock mounts?
@thecadillacdanshow86582 жыл бұрын
I used 3/16 on this one for the bridge I just took measurements and laid out lines on the floor

Can a 91 frame fit on a 94?
@thecadillacdanshow8658 Жыл бұрын
Yes you will have to add a hole for the rear brake line and possibly a hole in the frame for the fuel line to come through on the driver side and I think drill mounting holes for the transmission crossmember I'm actually going to be doing a video on what the differences are between the years
