79 Ford Bronco 400 Oil Pan Gasket Replacement

This is a how to video for removing the oil pan, changing the gaskets and dip stick tube then reinstalling in a 1979 Ford Bronco with a 400cubic inch V8. I walk through each step for removing the starter and dropping the pan to installing new gaskets re-installing the pan and bending a new dipstick tube. This applies to all 70's fords with the 400 V8.

Nice, dude. Just finished replacing the front mail seal on my ‘79 tonight. I had plans to do the oil pan gasket today too, but I decided I didn’t have time after I was struggling with removing the starter. Good thing! Seems like I was missing RTB, and definitely would not have known to lift the front end to get the pan out. Keep posting!

It definitely takes time to remove the pan, make sure it's flat then reinstall it. After all the work flattening it out it still leaks some. I think next time I might replace the pan. Thanks for the comment, good luck on your project!

@@jacobsupgrades wow! That is really hard to find! I ended up using conventional 5w 30. They stopped making the rotella truck version! Def will load up on this stuff, thanks a million

@@jacobsupgrades Yeah currently trying the "copper" washer for drain plug on new engine break in... before if I try the stock one from BroncoGraveyard on the next one.
