Mine arrived at 2pm today. Thankfully the truck could get round to my garage & use his fork lift to put the pallet in the middle of the garage floor. I managed to get everything out of the packaging, assembled & stood up ready for setting up in a couple of hours - not bad for someone who will be 67 in 8 weeks. 😁 Fiddliest part was assembling the base & fitting the table but no major grief. The supplied blade isn't much cop for my intended use - resawing timber & small logs, so I'll be ordering a couple of 3tpi blades later. Going to do all the squaring & aligning tomorrow.

Good luck, I hope you are as happy as I am with mine, I still think it is a lovely machine and don't regret buying it one bit 😀

@@DIYTinkerer I asked my mate over in Alabama for advice, as he's far more experienced than me. Sent him a link to the 300 & 350 & he said the 350 is the same machine as the Rikon 10-326 he has & to buy it.

That is a wonderful machine, I looked up the price and fell off my chair, but it looks like it is worth every penny. Class bit of kit.

Well done Bud!- only just found this upload as KZbin had dropped my sub ( 😢) for some reason. The sabre 350 is a crackin' piece of kit and I'm still loving mine..... no regrets - except the price! 🤣.. and, yes, I too put the base on whilst it was lying down! not so much a tool as a family heirloom I think!

Thank you for this down to earth video on the unboxing and assembly of the bandsaw. I did wonder in what state of assembly it would be delivered in and now I am fore armed with what I will need to do and make preparations to get some help prior to delivery when I make the purchase. I also saw your 1 year review on the machine and again I thought that very informative too. I didnt realise the sawdust just fell through the hole as you described though, I assumed it would have had a port where you could attatch a hose directly. How did you overcome this issue? Many thanks in advance.

Hi Stephen, I'm glad you are liking my videos :-) There is a 100mm port at the back, it is in the bottom right of the machine when viewed from the front. The point I was trying to make was that the port would be better located higher up under the Bed, It is a very minor point, only really made because everything else is so well thought out. I haven't got round to doing anything about it because it is so minor, it certainly would not stop me recommending the saw. Hope this helps

@@DIYTinkerer Hi again and thank you for your reply. I guess I will wait till mine arrives and see what the distance is between the port and the hose port and the effectiveness of dust collection. For me in a small workshop it is important to extract the dust at the source as effectively as possible. Thanks again.

I see you like wood j and bikes like me :)

I think I just like making things and wood is a good medium - my channel was intended to be all things 'maker' but seems to have focused mainly on wood.

Wowsas, that looks to be an impressive piece of kit and I’m sure your dip into the inheritance will be very useful… ✅ Actually makes my Ryobi look a bit like a toy saw… 😂 I have already retired and having built up a useful collection of said manufacturer’s stuff, don’t have much inheritance left (unless I sell the house!)… 🫣 So there’s probably not much chance of one of those making its way into my tiny workshop any time soon… 🤪

It is an awesome tool, expensive, but worth every penny, I will do a review soonish
