I used to own a civic and highly recommended the Yonaka brand exhaust for anyone looking for a decent budget exhaust. When I bought mine on eBay ran me about 200-225, great figment and actually it sounded good considering the price. 100 bucks is a lot but worth it in my experience and still saves you 400 bucks for other parts/maintenance

I'm not even a Honda guy, but love this guy's channel. I really appreciate the hustle, and his "we can figure this out somehow" attitude towards projects. The Miata build blew my mind. While I am not a fan of the tone of that ebay exhaust, I'm sure you could get a cheap ebay resonator welded in for not too much extra. That might be a good work around while still keeping the budget down.

Id say the best bang for your buck mod for any car is rims and tires. Nothing is going to shave off as much time around the track as a nice set of sticky tires can and with some lighter wheels you can greatly reduce the cars unsprung weight and that will vastly improve its handling characteristics.

The problem with ebay parts is that they're so cheap that they're really popular. So cars you try to mod out end up looking similar. Like for my Civic, I swear everyone has the same damn front lip. Thank god I got one used off someone before most people trashed their cars. But I have the same grille everyone else has. I actually had painted OEM headlights, but everyone else has the black headlights. Everyone buys the same cheap coilovers too. The Racelands SMH.

I've been told the intake doesn't really matter. Just get the K&N filter afterwards. I tend to agree, cuz an intake ain't giving you much HP anyways, at least in post 2000 civics. I paid $175 for my Injen intake. They didn't have aftermarket stuff at the time. I wouldn't hesitate to get one of those ebay ones, but I'd rather just get a used name brand one off someone. People are always parting out their cars. I sold my magnaflow full catback exhaust to someone for $100. It was old, tough to find a buyer, and I'd had enough after my 4th exhaust ticket.

I REALLY respect your talents and your ambition and your overall great attitude with life in general, peeped 👀 your a God fearing man and that brings the ultimate respect ✊🏻… Honestly I typically frown or look down at builds/cars like these. As a CLEAN fellow Honda owner I despise eBay and ALL fart cans - the $200 coils 😳 - $25 spray paint 😱 … HOWEVER you make this stuff work pretty seamlessly and the end result is actually pretty decent, I don’t know how this all comes together like it does but I gots say I actually kind of like your cars, for otherwise junkyard metal you have breathed new life into these cars and keep the Honda gang rolling 🍚 …PROPS BRO!
@matthewgriffith20783 жыл бұрын
You really know how make these cars look nice. That intake looks really clean it actually might cram air into the tb better than the metal $300 intakes. Still can choose the filter color too. I’ve seen a guy weld a “J” or “U” shaped pipe with a dead end onto the exhaust right before the muffler. This seemed kill some of the “twang-drone” sound. But who cares if you can hear an engine. Being heard could save lives. People are talking shit about Honda because they secretly like them.

Regardless of what the forum dwellers say, price does not always matter with exhausts. I’ve had cheap off brand exhausts or even cheap custom made exhausts sound better than $$$$ cat back systems. The coilovers depend on the year Civic you have. If You have an 01 to an 05 they do not lower the car. They actually raise it especially in the rear about six inches. With the lip it depends on the year as well they can go up to $200 depending on the year Civic you have. I do use eBay parts as well on my cars. People put eBay down but it's not eBay it's the sellers who sell the cheap items. the thing is you just have to know what to buy and who to buy from. Be sure to check reviews that's a must. Not every part on eBay is bad and a lot of them work good just need to know what you're buying before you buy it.

My only complaint with eBay exhaust is how thin the metal is. Bought a DNA Motoring cat back for my TSX and after one month the y pipe heading to the mufflers cracked off at the flange, which put me in a bad situation because when I emailed them they said they don’t have to accept responsibility.
