Old town has been completely spoilt. The square used to be family community but now bars with v cheap booze and full of hen/stag partying

I've just had a pretty enjoyable family holiday in Albufeira, but yeah... this is pretty accurate for what the old town seems to be like past a certain point in the evening, i.e. rough as fuck.

Been awful for years: 2 Bolton boys under 14 jumped me & held me under the water by both sitting on me in the shared pool, as a 10 year old playing alone near my godmother's holiday home. I'm nearly 60 now! 😮

We were there last week , and yes it is like that every night in that street, we went round the other street parallel to it, not to bad that way, had a great holiday though and tried to avoid the British
