It’s heartbreaking for Richie. Clearly he’s been stuck in the past for a long time in all aspects of his life. But he never needed to change as long as he and Michael were at the Beef. With Michael gone, his whole world falls apart. And every change being forced on him is a reminder that Michael is never coming back.
