the actress playing fez OD they say he was battling suicidal thoughts from the loss of his father recently. Amongst other things as well. And thats so sad!

the fact that hunter was behind her special's script, she says she was looking for good "helping centers" near her on her phone, cause she was having... troubles, and instead she ended up going to sam, with whom she was texting as well, and she worked through her struggles in the pages, and the end result was pure art. as a trans person myself, the way she described not only transness, but the struggle of living in a structural binary heteronormative world, and ur first thought is having to "fit in" to matter, be respected, and considered a "good" "regular person" is just mind fucking. the way u can get lost in what u think u have to be for the world to embrace u as nothing beyond just "a person" is just... oh, the trauma. and yeah, any soul can relate to most of what she said, is not pointed only at the trans experience, cis boys and girls go through it as well, the difference is, theyre not struggling with biology and their anatomy at the same time, at least not as deep. with cis people is mostly, not always, but mostly, appearance, and what theyre allowed to do or not, and how u present urself, and what u can and cant fit in. in the trans experience, if u dont get help, ure fighting a most likely losing battle against time and nature. when she talks about puberty, as it being most likely the end of ur chance or achieving the goals in ur mind of what u could be, is just, horror. when puberty hits, transition can become... one of those "untreatable staged" cancers. how did u like also her special filling in the gaps of her moments we didnt get to see in the first season? some people treated it as "oh, they just wanted to defend her character cause she left rue at the end of season one," which is bullshit, but theyre entitlled to their wrong opinion :)))

It’s funny you bring that up because I already kind of filled in the gaps before I saw this 😂 Jules just confirmed it. The train station scene was pretty typical actually. I don’t really hold Jules to be as bad a influence as most of those scenarios go. Usually both people are on drugs/drinking and getting on that train would mean going further down that road. This doesn’t feel like the same thing though. Jules isn’t in Rues addictive world. She may be in her own but Jules cares about Rue. She wants Rue to stay sober. While I totally feel for Rue and relate to her character the most, basing her sobriety on Jules is not fair. Jules is going through her own stuff too.

Jules's dad makes me so mad. He seems so chill in Euphoria season 1, but this episode really highlights now often he tells Jules how she's supposed to feel. And getting angry when you're kid doesn't have the emotional reaction you want while they're navigating a traumatic experience is really shitty and inconsiderate.

i relate to jules a fair bit, as someone who is also trans and knows an addict (my brother). i wont bother anyone with the messy details but i really appreciate how you see both sides of things, and respect jules as a character and her struggles. i cant relate to her fully but i know how it feels to have someone with drug problems create struggles in the family, how my mom ended up in court because of my brothers drug issues- watching your channel has made me not harbour so many negative feelings towards him. i hope you enjoy season 2 of euphoria

This part hit me sooooo hard because of my own mom. I witnessed a very similar situation, with my mom in jules’ moms position, when I was about 8-9 years old. Being older now, I can see both sides of the convo and can very much understand each sides stance on the situation. But every time I put myself in my moms shoes and remember things like that, it kills me. Not that it wasn’t deserved in some way. But the feeling she must have had hearing it and what she must have felt about herself and trying to improve with all the work she was trying to put into getting sober and changing her life. It’s a hard road to recover for people that end up hearing this kind of conversation. To realize just how bad you must have messed up in order for someone you love to feel that way about you. To the point where forgiveness is not possible, but it was one of the major points of why they’re getting sober. To start to mend those bridges. I’m not surprised she was gone when Jules came back down. It kills me that she wasn’t though. At the same time, Jules had every reason to feel the way she felt, 💯. There is nothing about a situation like this that is easy.

Hey I love your videos so much, I’m so glad you feel safe to show your emotions, it is so very important to do so. I don’t know if you already know this, but Angus Cloud (Fez) has very recently passed away :( His family says it was a suicide due to the loss of his father, and they suspect it to be an overdose. I know he wasn’t in this specific episode, but I know you love his character, he is so brilliant in Euphoria and seemed like such a kind soul, he will be deeply missed :(

jules' character doesn't get much grace from the public in s2 because most didn't watch this ep. But Sam also kinda disregarded her character and her growth in s2. Or at least sidelined her more. This masterpiece was all thanks to Hunter, you can see how much she loves the character.

Im about to watch the video but I dont know if you've heard but the actor of fez angus cloud recently passed away due to mental health issues. His father was buried just last week. I cried like I knew him. There was so much more for his character to develop and offscreen he was hilarious. He seemed so sweet and its sad he was struggling and then gone in just a snap. LLA 🕊

It really helps to destigmatize and really help people understand a lot of thoughts and actions in the show that a lot of people may not be able to relate to themselves. It’s one thing to imagine what it must be like to live the lives of these characters, but it really is eye opening to see someone be able to say “this is something that I’ve also been through and these feelings and actions are understandable and true to what someone experiencing this might have”.

Every time you get closer to season two i get more and more anxious 🥺 I know you completely understand what world ending addiction is like but watching it played out on screen was really hard. Sam Levinson nailed some of the most raw scenes of addiction. There are scenes that i almost couldnt get through because they were so close to situations I went through. If i hadnt self admitted to a inpatient program I would have died. I was ODing in the waiting room. This season really shows the toll bipolar 1 disorder and addiction take not just on yourself but also your family. Thank you for these videos and the respect you show us both clean and not clean addicts. I wish i had that as a younger child. Even being sober for 5 years, Sam made me feel like it was yesterday.

This series was so hard for me to watch, growing up as the little sister of an addict, I see so much of myself in Gia(Rue’s sister) and their family. All the chaos, watching the domestic violence from the sidelines. Shit was tough, and unfortunately my brother lost his battle to addiction and depression when he was only 19. I was 12 at the time. As hard of a watch as it was, I strangely felt somewhat affirmed by the “representation” through Gia, as I think a lot of siblings of addicts feel like the “forgotten child”. All that aside, I really appreciate your confidence in displaying your vulnerability! It’s very refreshing, and I hope that it inspires others, especially men, to be comfortable with displaying their emotions, even the uncomfortable ones. Hope your 2024 is going great!✨

I just want to comment on this as a thank you, recently I began to like the reactions to music, especially Labrinth, I found your wife/friend's channel, I don't know her situation, but I wanted to know about your opinion about the show because it helped me something to see the show, I thought I had found a "balance" but when I see you I realize that you can have a good life, and although I don't drink as much anymore and I don't do heavy drugs like before, I know that I still have things with the ones I have to deal with in order to have a better quality of life, and that because of my substance abuse I have some chronic medical conditions, I must try to have something better for as long or as little as I have left. Thank you for your videos and for the quality of human being that you show to be.
